"Allah" is the Arabic word for "God".
Allah is the Arabic word meaning God. There is a big misconception that Allah is some type of Muslim God and not the same as the god of the Jews and Christians. However, if you look into an Arabic Bible, in the first page of the Old Testament, you will see Allah (الله) written many times, even in the first verse. Therefore, yes, God, or Allah, is the founder of the Islamic religion.
No, he does not. Since President Obama is a Christian, he would not refer to God as Allah. He would refer to God by the English name of "God" or "The Lord" and he would pray to God and to Jesus. But when Mr. Obama lived in Indonesia, a moderate Muslim country, he attended a public school where he met students from the majority religion, Islam, and he also learned to respect what they believed. To this day, he has fond memories of the four years he lived in that country, and when he is speaking to Muslim audiences overseas (all presidents give speeches in foreign countries as part of diplomacy), he remembers some of those times. By the way, it should be noted that the word "Allah" is simply the Arabic word for "God." Muslims are monotheists, just like Jews and Christians.
Ilah is something you believe in as a god. For instance, some people believe in statues. They are their ilah. However, Allah is the one who created the world, us and everthig, and will ask for us after we die what we did when we were alive. Based on those definitions, Allah is an ilah, also. (Allah is ilah of Moslems) However, Islam tells Moslems to avoid ilahs other than Allah.
Muslims praise Allah (God in English); the same God of the Jews and the Christians. Arabic Christians read 'Allah' as God in their Arabic Bibles. Some Arabic Christians say 'Allah Al Ab' in Arabic that means 'God the father'.
They were mostly worshiping Allah (or God in English) but with partners or Idols. In addition, there were some Jews and Christians as minority.

They were treated really badly and they had no respect. some of the Jews were slaves for the Christian's. some or even most of the Jews were executed during that time. There is also some information in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. the quotes tell us how they were exactly treated and how the Jews might have felt.
Some similarities are they are both Gods, they are worshipped, and they both have rules that they must follow.
As is the case with Christians and church, some Jews do go to synagogue and some don't - and of those that do, regularity of attendance varies greatly between individuals (some go three times every day, some once a week, some only for festivals and some only for Yom Kippur, when many Jews who don't go at any other time of the year attend).
If you consider yourself Jewish but do not follow Judaism, holding to no religion at all, then you are a "secular Jew". A significant proportion of Jews are secular Jews. Some Jews have adopted a form of Christianity and consider themselves Christian Jews or Messianic Jews.
