Tralfamadorians are useless. the world does not end
At least the one I attend does.
This is a great question ; and I believe the answer is in freewill or determinism. Before this question is answered you have to tell me if you believe the employee has freewill or if they exist on a deterministic level? It is not an easy answer: If the employee has freewill they have different options related to the deterministic outlook. Answer these two questions: Will they continue to work if they don't get satisfaction from the job and second: do they have the option for other employment if they leave this job?
The Tralfamadorians in "Slaughterhouse-Five" are described as being like toilet plungers with a hand on top. They also have a single eye on a tentacle, which allows them to see in all directions simultaneously.
Tralfamadorians - "tralfa" and "do" + "go" = mogadoriansno originality.

Calvinism vs. Armenianism was summed up as Predestination vs. Freewill. That is; the notion that those that believe are predestinated regardless of being able to will it. This gave the proponents even more vigour in the pursuit of their faith, as they reasoned that, since they could not help believing; therefore, they might just as well go ahead for it was predestinated anyhow. Freewill proponents on the other hand taught that man must exercise his freewill in order to believe, and often that this was totally at the behest of the believer. Modern theorists have attempted to combine these two notions into one all-encompassing theory, to wit: Predestination through foreknowledge of freewill. This supposes that, yes; a person must be predestinated but that the only reason we are is that God already forknew who would, and who would not believe... Variations on this abound (so really; it's not worth "beating yourself or your neighbour up over it...") such as Predestination through freewill, but only to "seeded" ones. That non-seed CANNOT believe as they are inherently the children of the devil. That would make non-believers effectively robots (even whether they had a soul). If you think that's outlandish, consider: satan was the only of seven named arch-angels in the book of Enoch to not have "el" at the end of his name: LucifER, Micheal, Raphael, etc... Hmm...

It depends on how you look at it, if there are no trees, animals, or plants then humans would die. But, humans do have freewill most of the time. Let's say you were on a desert island. You could survive if you had a fishing rod and a good supply of trees. So humans do and don't have freewill depending on the situation.
