Do you? I don't think you do. According to most Christians, you would need wonder and awe because it is important to recognize God's wonders and powers and love. This is an important step in attaining faith in God. But I think that God, being a selfless God of love, does not care whether or not you have faith at all in him. He does not seek his own glorification, so he doesn't care whether you recognize his (supposed) greatness or not. In my opinion, he is interested only in the extent to which you bring forth his message on earth: love your neighbor, give away what you have, forgive, and pay no mind to the riches and glory of this world.
