No. Vermont became the 14th state. So, it was the first to become a state after the 13 colonies opted for statehood.

"Don't Jersey Vermont" is a phrase used in agriculture to discourage the practice of converting pastureland into housing developments or other non-agricultural uses. "Jersey" refers to the state of New Jersey, known for its high population density and urban development, while "Vermont" represents a more rural and agricultural-focused state. The phrase is a reminder to preserve and protect farmland and open spaces from urban sprawl and development.
Both the state name "Vermont" and its nickname "The Green Mountain State" reflect its mountainous terrain and heavy forestation. "Vermont" is derived from the French words "vert" (green) and "mont" (moutain peak), so both the name and nickname are essentially the same!
Oh, dude, Vermont is actually known as the Green Mountain State, not the "Don't tread on me" state. That slogan is more associated with the Gadsden flag. So, like, if you're looking to avoid stepping on anyone's toes in Vermont, just watch out for those green mountains instead.
Vermont was a territory that abolished slavery in 1777, but technically Pennsylvania was the first STATE to abolish slavery, doing so in 1780.
People in Vermont earn their living by leaving forever and never come back so they could save money in another state.

Vermont is known as the green mountain state and has a whole lot of maple trees. They also have the perfect weather conditions for making the best maple syrup. I live just across the lake from Vermont so we also make awesome maple syrup also the candy that is made from it is sinfully fattening but oh so good!! Besides all they have are mountains and maple trees so of course they would perfect it lol. Really though it is a beautiful and serene place.
It would so be Montana because the state Montana is bigger.
