Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is observed for three days to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. The three-day celebration allows Muslims to perform the ritual sacrifice (Qurbani) and engage in communal prayers, feasting, and acts of charity. Additionally, the extended period fosters a sense of community and reflection on the values of sacrifice and devotion. Each day offers opportunities for different gatherings and activities, enhancing the festive spirit.
