The Bible clearly states that God created man from dust in Genesis. Evolutionary history tells us that humans (Homo sapiens) share a common ancestor with the chimpanzees, according to the evolutionary phylogenetic tree.
Actually, the Bible isn't necessarily incompatible with evolution. The Bible says that before the "6 days of creation" the earth was null and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Why coudn't the earth have been there for billions of years in human time before that? The answer is that there is no reason for why it coudn't be. I don't know if God literally created the earth in 6 days or not; even if he did that does not make the Bible incompatible with evolution. Its even possible that apes existed and than God decided to set some apart and give them souls and all of the people desecended of those two are what we call humans.
I have no way of knowing if any of these "speculations" are true or not; the point is God doesn't care about the creation vs evolution debate because it does not do anything to accomplish his work on earth. Does having a debate with an evolutionist about how you think you have scientific evidence that it is false help win that persons soul to Christ? And it is likely that the evolutionist will have just as much evidence and probably more valid and sound evidence at that to counter the argument.
There is nothing in the Bible that says the earth is 10,000 years old; it is simply that if you count the generations down from Adam and Eve until now its around that much time, but the earth existed before Adam and eve did so that doesn't really prove the age of the earth. I don't know the age of the earth and neither does anyone else, but it is very possible that it is billions of years old and because that is what science seems to tell us I suggest that it is true.
Picking out little details like whether or not the 6 days is literal is to miss the whole point of God's word.
Fundamentalists are at odds with the teaching of evolution because they believe it is not compatible with the teaching of creation. They believe the Bible teaches creation.
Many people think that evolution is very compatible to the Christain faith, but if you think about it, it isn't. The Bible never talks about evolution. It clearly states that God created the heavens and the earth, and the book of Genesis tells us about everything he created.
Evolution doesn't have to be compatible with Faith. Evolution is a fact. It happened. A person can believe in God while also understanding that evolution is a very real scientific process.
No, the Bible is the spiritual words of the Creator God given to mankind as an 'instruction manual.' The concept of evolution came about much latter by men.
Theistic evolution is the idea that God intervenes to guide the course of evolution. Naturalistic evolution makes no mention of God. Naturalistic evolution is the idea that evolution is a normal result of natural processeses. Naturalistic evolution is compatible with both atheism, and compatible with the idea of a God that can set in motion self-sufficient processes that work without any need for ongoing intervention.

evolution... or read the bible
Evolution is a lie from the Darwin guy, and the bible has all the answers, so get one! ______________ No. Considering the Bible a complete and perfect science text is an example of the clash between reason and the Bible.
Because the bible dose not belive in evolution and cave men evolved
If the deity was itself capable of evolving.
Evolution is the opposite of what Bible says.
God did not make evolution. Evolution is the belief that the world came about from a big bang or an explosion. The Bible clearly teaches that this world came about as a direct result in God creating it.
