Baptism is a cleansing ritual. Christians generally believe it is necessary to compensate for the original sin committed by Adam. Baha'is do not believe there was an original sin. Baha'is consider Adam to be a Manifestation of God.

Baha'is are not Christians in that sense, though they do accept Jesus Christ as a Manifestation of God, with the individual title, the Son of God. There are other religious views in this world beyond your own.

ANSWER 2:

Two thousand years ago most people were like superstitious sheep, a metaphor often used by Jesus about His 'flock'. They demanded miracles to prove His station as the Messiah, and physical baptisms with water were necessary to prove one's belief in Him. Today people are no longer as sheep and they are more spiritually mature. Baptism with water only cleanses the body. Baptism in the Baha'i Faith does exist... it is viewed as the spiritual cleansing of a diseased soul through acceptance of Baha'u'llah as the Word in this day.
