Why is the holy trinity important to christians?

The trinity concept is ancient, long before Christianity even exited.

The first trinity was El - Baal - Yamm, knows as the phoenician trinity.

The importance of the trinity to christians is quite deep, and is summed up by the following 3 perspectives (angles):

1- In theological studies, most of the ancient religions concepts ( not only Jewish, but also pagan ) was a historical build-up towards Christ, and thus the trinities ( the triple nature of the one GOD ) in ancient mythologies are in parallel with the Jewish scrpitures.

2- In mathematical logic, which is the complete scientifical and reasonable logic which explains the entore existence of the unverse, the Basic Complete Form is the Triangle.

It is the first form in which infinity ( the circle ) is subscribed, around which infinity ( the circle is circumscribed), and it guards the truth ( right at te center )

The triangle is the origin of completness.

3- The christian trinity reveals the true God. God must be seen as the Father creator, the Holy Spirit - acting force, and the Son - salvation.

Without the triplet: ( creation, acting force, and salvation ) the heart of the religion of Christianity will become unreasonable.

God is important to Christians because He is the base of out faith. Without Him we fall and our faith no longer has a purpose. The Trinity is God so it is important to Christians. You have, God the Father; He is our creator or master. Then you have Jesus Christ; our Savior, Messiah, Redeemer. He died for man, without His sacrifice our faith would be nothing and in vain. Then you have the Holy Spirit. He lives in those who have accepted Chirst, not in a wierd, "I am God too!" way but in an, "I am here with you always way." The Holy Spirit is our guide and our conscience. None of the three are more important than the other. They all serve their own purpose without which we would be nothing.

Trinity and Triune are not words we find in scripture. But by imposing them onto areas of scripture we create a condition that allows us to place a visual on God which allows us in these weak carnal minds to grasp the fullness and greatness of God. Placing God in these 3 manifestations helps some understand the magnitude of favor and grace he shows us in his word.

A:It is probably not intrinsically important for Christians to believe in the Holy Trinity. Had the teachings of Arius prevailed in the fourth century, as they well could have done, Christians would now regard the Trinity as a heresy, rather than believing that Arianism was a heresy. Of course, Christians should always follow the teachings of their church, and most denominations do teach that God exists as a Trinity.

Additional Comments:

There are non-trinitarian Christians. Though widely regarded as a central doctrine, indispensable to the Christian faith, is is not clearly or explicity taught anywhere in the Bible. Some men have struggled over defining the Godhead from the first century forward, with a major 'thrust' in the 4th Century AD. The Nicean decision clarified who Christ was but not God's Holy Spirit. The Council of Constantinople resolved this 'person' in the eyes of the newly termed 'Catholic' Church at Rome. Yet the debate continues to this day.

It is probably fair to conclude then that this 'controversy' over the make-up of the God Family was decided by the method of trial and error and not the Scripture itself.

God has three forms--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These represent three different (but complementary) aspects of God.
