1) Because we do not belong to ourselves. We have existence because we were created. Along with existence ~ ~ come 'rules' for that existence. Humans are bound by rules (ie gravity, eating, drinking, sleeping, excercise)
2) There are consequences for going against the rules of existence.
3) God created us 'in his image'. We are thus obligated to 'reflect his image'. God is a 'moral' God. He is righteous, meaning he 'does what is right and proper'.
4) Living immorally brings shame upon our Maker / our Father; so any good child would avoid shaming his family.
