false lazarus died and then jesus came and raised him from the dead
Mary, Martha and Lazarus were siblings who were visited by their friend Jesus.
Some of them are Martha, Mary, Lazarus , and the 12 disciples, zachaeheus.
No, He was immediately with God. Came out of the tomb and walked the earth again.
A:It is not so much that Jesus sent Lazarus to hell for four days, as that he seems to have deliberately delayed his arrival until John had been dead for four days. John 11:5 tells us that Jesus loved Mary and Martha, whose brother, Lazarus, he raised from the dead. Jewish tradition said that the soul departs the body after three days, so that resurrection must no longer be possible. We are repeatedly told that Lazarus has been dead four days and his body stinks, yet Jesus commands him to rise up out of his tomb and he came forth. An explanation of this is in the history of the passage. In the only other known record of Mary, Martha and Lazarus, Luke 10:38-42 contains a brief story of Jesus visiting the sisters Mary and Martha in a village and another story in which Jesus tells a parable about Lazarus that mentions his death and resurrection hypothetically. John 11:5 tells us that Jesus loved Mary and Martha, whose brother, Lazarus, he later raises from the dead. The coincidences of name, death and hypothetical or actual resurrection of Lazarus is taken as strong evidence that the concept was taken by the author of John from Luke's Gospel. The author knew that resurrection after more than three days was regarded as impossible, so conspicuously wrote this as a story of Jesus raising Lazarus after four days.
An angel came to Joseph in a dream and warned him to take his family to Egypt immediately as Herod was looking for the child jesus.
No one would know what he would say, because Jesus is unpredictable.
The story about Lazarus is teaching about how salvation works. Even though we are dead in spirit and way beyond our ability to save ourselves because we are as dead as Lazarus is in our trespasses, there is still the great hope in Jesus and his ability to raise us and save us from our sins apart from us and completely of Him.
Jesus said: "TAKE the stone away." Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: "Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days." Jesus said to her: "Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth." And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: "Laz′a‧rus, come on out!" The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: "Loose him and let him go." (John 11:39-44)
Answer The Gospel according to John records Jesus visiting Martha and Mary on two occasions: the first was after the death of their brother, Lazarus (John 11:1) and the second was the week before Passover (John 12:1). Upon considering how Jesus reacted to the death of Lazarus (He wept and people remarked how much Jesus loved Lazarus) it is quite safe to assume that Jesus was well known to the family and had visited on previous occasions.
He was lying dead in the tomb:-Joh 11:1 And there was a certain sick one, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.Joh 11:2 (And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)Joh 11:3 Then his sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.Joh 11:11 He said these things; and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps. But I go so that I may awaken him out of sleep.Joh 11:12 Then His disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps, he will get well.Joh 11:13 But Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He had spoken of taking rest in sleep.Joh 11:14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead.Joh 11:15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, in order that you may believe. But let us go to him.Joh 11:16 Then Thomas (he being called Twin) said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.Joh 11:17 Then when Jesus came, He found him already being held in the tomb four days.Joh 11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary in order to comfort them concerning their brother.Joh 11:20 Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she met Him. But Mary was sitting in the house.Joh 11:21 Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.Joh 11:32 Then when Mary had come where Jesus was, seeing Him, Mary fell down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.Joh 11:33 Then when He saw her weeping, and also the Jews who came with her weeping, Jesus groaned in the spirit and troubled Himself.Joh 11:34 And He said, Where have you laid him? They said to Him, Lord, come and see.Joh 11:35 Jesus wept.Joh 11:36 Then the Jews said, Behold how He loved him!Joh 11:37 And some of them said, Was not this Man who opened the eyes of the blind able also to cause that even this one should not have died?Joh 11:38 Then Jesus, groaning in Himself again, came to the tomb. And it was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.Joh 11:39 Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who died, said to Him, Lord, by this time he stinks. For it is the fourth day.Joh 11:40 Jesus answered her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?Joh 11:41 Then they took away the stone where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.Joh 11:42 And I know that You hear Me always, but because of the people who stand by I said it, so that they may believe that You have sent Me.Joh 11:43 And saying these things, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, Here! Outside!Joh 11:44 And he who had died came out, bound hand and foot with sheets, and his face was bound with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Untie him and let him go!Joh 12:1 Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was (who had died, whom He raised from the dead).Joh 12:2 Then they made a supper there for Him. And Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those reclining with Him.Joh 12:9 Then a great crowd of the Jews learned that He was there. And they did not come for Jesus' sake only, but also that they might see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.Joh 12:10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus to death also,Joh 12:11 because many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus because of him.
Jesus is God and has always been and always be, so He came first. He came to earth in the form of a human around 4 B.C. Odin was a mythological Norse god, so he never existed, but the stories of him would have been after Jesus came to earth.
Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead:-Joh 11:43-48 KJV And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. (v.44) And [Lazarus] that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. (v.45) Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him. (v.46) But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. (v.47) Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles. (v.48) If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.Jesus then went to a city called Ephraim with His disciples:-Joh 11:53-57 KJV Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him [Jesus] to death. (v.54) Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.(v.55) And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. (v.56) Then sought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the feast? (v.57) Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him [Net Bible: "arrest him"].The NET Bible Notes on John 11:54 place Ephraim about 19-24 km Northeast of Jerusalem:-There is no certain identification of the location to which Jesus withdrew in response to the decision of the Jewish authorities. Many have suggested the present town of Et-Taiyibeh, ...If so, this would be 12-15 mi (19-24 km) northeast of Jerusalem.Lazarus may have tried to go back to his "normal" life again, but his life-direction and priorities had now changed. Jesus and the 12 Disciples then returned from Ephraim to Bethany, but there were many more disciples in addition to the 12 main ones, and by this time Lazarus was (understandably!) one of them:-Joh 12:1-2 KJV Then Jesus six days before the passover [ie to be held in Jerusalem] [they] came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. (v.2) There they made him [Jesus] a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.As Lazarus was walking proof of Jesus' miracle-working ability, the Pharisees wanted to kill him as well:-Joh 12:9-11 KJV Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. (v.10) But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; (v.11)Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.Secular records may show what happened to Lazarus and where he went, but the Bible has no furthur record of Lazarus.
