Jesus told Peter to go and feed my sheep.
Peter served others by teaching the word of God and spreading good news
Saint Patrick spread the good news primarily through his missionary work in Ireland, where he converted many people to Christianity through preaching, baptisms, and establishing churches and monasteries. He used local traditions and symbols—such as the three-leaf shamrock—to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity to the Irish people.
no he was rubbish
Yes, St. Peter, also known as Simon Peter, was a Jewish fisherman and is considered the first Pope of the Catholic Church. He was one of the twelve apostles chosen by Jesus to spread his teachings.
In the very early years of the Church when Peter lived there were no religious orders developed yet.
Christ Started the Catholic Church, when He Chose St. Peter as His Rock (St. Matthew chapter 16, verse 19).
St. Philip spread the good news of Christianity primarily through his evangelistic efforts in various regions, including Samaria and along the roads of Judea. He preached about Jesus Christ, performed miracles, and baptized new believers, as seen in his encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch, where he explained the Scriptures and baptized him after the eunuch expressed faith. Philip's approach was characterized by personal engagement and a focus on teaching, which helped to establish early Christian communities.
St. Peter the Apostle is a very good Saint for Confirmation. Another good one is St. Francis of Assisi.
The motto of St. Theodore Catholic School is 'The Good News in Education'.
St. Andrew St. Bartholomew St. James the Greater St. James the Lesser St. John St. Jude St. Matthew St. Peter St. Philip St. Simon St. Thomas Were the orignal twelve chosen followers of Christ. There was also Judas Iscariot, but after his betrayal of Christ, St. Matthias was chosen to replace him. Apostle means 'one who is sent out'; Jesus sent his Apostles out into the world to spread the Good News. It should be noticed that the Twelve are not the only Apostles. For a start, St. Paul was called (by the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus) to the same vocation; and many others, whether officially entitled apostle or not, have been sent out in the millennia since.
peter wouldn't deserve the credit, if Jesus had really given the responsibility to St. Mary Magdalene. but the idea that Jesus did this is just a bunch of non backed up error that Dan brown writes in his novel and is not true. Jesus entrusted all the apostles, and all of his disciples to spread the good, news, and peter is not given all the credit. but he is given a lot, because he was the first pope and vicar of Christ.
