According to biblical tradition, ten commandments were broken by Moses in the Book of Exodus when he saw the Israelites worshiping the golden calf.
None of the commandments are really followed anymore, because of the arrogance in 99.9% of the population, and the bible is not to be taken literally in the present day. The bible and the stories of the commandments were written/made up many many eras ago. Each commandment has been broken by every single person at least ten fold. Every commandment remains broken to this day, though they MAY still co-exist.
The origin of this commandment is in Leviticus 19:18. In Mark 12:31, Jesus said that this is the greatest commandment. Matthew also referred to this commandment.
There is no eleventh commandment. Actually, there is. Christ is speaking in John 13:34: "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
