Saint Jude is indeed the patron of hopeless cases. He used to be our patron Saint when I was a child, but when I left home, I somehow stopped praying to Saint Jude. Recently I landed in an unexpected situation that made me remember him all over again. I was not getting any response from my Financial contact back home, regarding my application to access my funds. I was in a desperate situation and was frustrated that this person was not even replying to my e-mails. I turned to Saint Jude and made the Novena for nine days along with my wife. On the last day, I saw a positive response from my agent in my e-mail inbox. I told my wife about it and promised to make Saint Jude's name known to others, which I hope to accomplish through this answer. After that he has granted my so many other blessings that I know would otherwise be impossible. Have faith in St Jude and pray to him fervently. Once your request is granted, you must publish the details so as to spread his devotion. Saint Jude, please pray for us.

The St Jude Children's Centre is a charity in India which helps provide homes, healthcare and food to poor children and their parents. Some charities do connect with the gods of their religion. However many charities, hospitals and so on are just named after a saint because that saint represents them or what they do. For example, Saint Jude is the Saint of lost causes and desperateness. The Saint Jude Children's Centre took the name 'Saint Jude' because they help children who feel lost and desperate. Having "Saint" in the name of an organisation does not make it a religious organisation. It's just a name.
