There was a boy who was kind, but ugly, named Juan. His parents were ashamed to be seen with him so he decided to find God and ask Him why He made him so ugly. Along the way, he met a coconut tree while he was resting. Upon knowing what Juan was up to, the tree wanted Juan to ask God why it has never bore any fruit. Juan agreed and continued on. Next, he met a crocodile who had a tree upon its back. Once again, it wanted Juan to ask God why such a heavy thing was put on its back making it harder to move. And lastly, he met a farmer who wanted the answers as to why his pants stayed short unlike the others. Juan , again, agreed. Finally, he met an old man and instantly new it was God. He asked the questions of the tree, crocodile, and the farmer to which God replied, "The tree lives exactly between 2 neighbors. When it bears fruit, they will fight over it. The crocodile has commited sins like harrassing the neighborhood. The tree upon its back will serve as the reminder of his sins. The farmer will become a businessman in the city if his pants become long. Then, who will till the soil?". Juan asked his question last. "Why did you make me so ugly?", he said. God replied, "Is that important when you have a heart of gold? You are faithful and do good things without return. Your deeds will be rewarded.". Juan was filled with trust and gratitude as he went back to tell his 3 friends the answers. They were satisfied and Juan went home. The next day, he saw that his ugliness was gone and his faith strengthened.
