Dear friend.
As this question has been answered in different ways I will answer your question as you have written it. First let us understand the meaning of ignorant. It means acording to the dictionary "Uneducated in general; lacking knowledge or sophistication". Let us concentrate on the words Uneducated and Lacking knowledge shall we. Both actually mean the same, being uneducated is the lack of knowledge, though to this persons reasoning no one is that uneducated for all of us know something. However, as we do not know everything, but when interested in knowing about a given subject we turn to those who can instruct us so that we might gain the knowledge of that which we are ignorant of.
I could have explained this much shorter but I do at times like to blow my own trumped.
With respect
To instruct the ignorant means to educate or teach those who lack knowledge or understanding on a particular subject. It involves sharing information, providing guidance, and offering support to help others learn and grow.
If you mean 'Ignorant' it means unknowing. e.g. (exempli gratzia) you were ignorant about ignorant before you read this answer!
