Prophets are people who speak the word of God. Messengers are prophets who also reveal a Scripture.
Prophets and messengers both serve as intermediaries between the divine and humanity, conveying spiritual truths and guidance. They are often called upon to deliver messages from God, provide insight into moral and ethical conduct, and inspire faith within their communities. While all messengers are prophets, not all prophets are considered messengers; the distinction typically lies in the scope of their mission and the specific revelations they may receive. Both play vital roles in shaping religious beliefs and practices.
In Islam, wahi is the divine revelation sent by Allah to His prophets. It is significant because it serves as a means of communication between Allah and His chosen messengers, providing them with guidance, laws, and wisdom to share with their followers. Wahi plays a crucial role in conveying Allah's messages and instructions to humanity through the prophets, ensuring the preservation and dissemination of religious teachings.
They are connected as the prophets always predicted what would happen in the future.Say the new testament times and today also.
The difference between "major" prophets and "minor" prophets is, basically, the length of the books attributed to or about them.
No difference. Prophets are also called messengers. Often those who make the words distinct say that a messenger brings down a Holy Book, such as the Taurat, Injil, Qur'an, etc. whereas a prophet only brings down a Divine Message. However, the distinction is not strict. There are 1,24,000 Prophets (May peace be upon them all). They are all called Nabi, Messengers. Out of them 350 are called Rasool- Those to whom heavenly Books were revealed. They brought a new Shari'a. The on-coming Messengers or Anmbia propagated their Sharia. When a Rasool (AS) came there used to be certain changes in the Sharia, yet the Basic teachings-Oneness of Almighty Allah, Angels, Life Hereafter, Good, Evil etc remained the same. Only the manner of worship, halal or Haram were a bit changed.
All of the Neviim (prophets) were sent to strengthen the relationship between the Israelites and God. Moses was the most important of the prophets, though.
Angels are Allah (SWT) helpers. Messengers are people who brought the true message to the world. (To put people on the right track.)
Both Moses and Jesus were religious leaders who emphasized the importance of faith, compassion, and justice in their teachings. They both preached messages of love, forgiveness, and the importance of following God's commandments. Their teachings had a profound impact on their respective communities, inspiring people to live righteous lives and seek spiritual fulfillment. Both figures are revered as prophets and messengers of God in their respective religions, with their teachings continuing to influence believers around the world.
Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that transmit signals between neurons in the nervous system, while hormones are chemical messengers that regulate various bodily functions and are released into the bloodstream by glands.
In Islam, Prophets (anbiyaa) were people who were contacted by the Divine and given instructions to guide people in/to the faith which already existed. For example many anbiyaa were sent to the Israelites after Moses to guide them upon the straight path and to help the follow the laws and tecahings of the Torah and the religion of Moses. Messengers (Rusul) were also prophets, but they were different in that they were given new scriptures and new laws such as Moses was given the Torah, Jesus was given the Gospel, Muhammad was given the Quran etc. All Anbiya were prophets, but not all prophets were ambiya.
The old testament deals with the prophets warnings and telling of Jesus coming and the new testament after the arivel of Jesus . And his teachings.
