What is similar to the Vedas?

Vedas are unique, being the oldest and still revered religious scriptures of the world. The only similar scripture is the Gathas of Iranian Aryans, the Zoroastrians, who were a sister-tribe of the Indian Aryans. Some verses in the two are exactly the same, save for differences of language. Portions of the Vedas are at least 8,000 years old.

The Upanishads are similar to the Vedas as they are also a collection of spiritual and philosophical texts in Hinduism. Both the Vedas and Upanishads are considered sacred scriptures and are foundational to Hindu religious and philosophical thought.
