In contrast to men's promises, when God gives His Word, it can always be trusted because it is as good as He is.

Psalms 138:2 "...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."

The Bible contains over 900 promises already paid for that can be claimed by acting on them, knowing they are sure. Hebrews 11:1 (literal) "Now believing is the title deed to things prayed for, the evidence they are yours before they are seen." Find the promise of God… believe… and you'll receive it.

A great Bible scholar said, Believing is a verb, and a verb connotes action. God's Word is the key to impressing truth upon His spirit within us so we know what action to take.

II Timothy 3:16,17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [which is] instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

As we become inspired by the scriptures, we see the possibilities of God's accomplishments in our lives and begin to act on them. At that point, we are receiving instruction in righteousness. We are accomplishing God's desires and good pleasure and are doers of the Word. Because our actions confirm God's Word is living and real to us, we are sure beyond all doubt that we are living as He intends.

James 1:25 "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein... a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
