Mein Kampf an autobiography of Adolf Hitler. That was about 2 years ago.

Answer:

There are lot of contenders for this position. Chairman Mao's Little Red Book ( a collection of his quotations) is often reported as second with 900 million copies. The Guinness Book of Records and Dr Spock's "Common Sense Baby and Child Care" are up there as well.

The problem gets to be in the definition - is it just copyrighted books, is it books sold or just published, are varient versions counted. Even The Bible's claim may be a bit shaky as some versions ( e.g. the King Jame's Version and previous translations) are out of copyright whie other versions are still in copyright. In addition some believers feel translations other than the KJV just don't count.
