When you do that accounts for what you are asking. Jesus has been mentioned by many cultures and many nations, and the authors though few in number, came from a wide range of countries and ethnic backgrounds.
Also a report, could be referring to the bible and spreading through many nations, look at Christianity as a whole today, the religion is world wide now, not just a mediterranean myth.
