The Bible defines God the following way. The creator of the heavens and the earth. Read Genesis 1: 1; Revelation 4: 11.

As our Father who has a name and lives in heaven. Read Matthew 6: 9,10.

Psalms 83: 18 tells us what His name is in these words. " May people know that you whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth".

As a Potter in Isaiah 64: 8 in these words. " O Jehovah, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are our Potter; We are the work of your hand".

Exodus 34: 6 describes God as someone merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love and truth.

However the global Flood shows that God can wipe out every living thing from the surface of the earth, when it becomes full of violence. Read Genesis chapter 6 and 7.

God has and still has a purpose for the human race, which is that mankind live forever on earth. Psalms 37: 29 reads. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it".

John 17: 3 tells us what to do to be able to be part of the righteous ones, in these words. " This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ, who was sent on earth by Jehovah God, to redeem the human race from the curse of sin and death and to undo the damage caused by Satan. Read John 3: 16; 1 John 3:8

The scriptures describe Jehovah God a number of different ways. Here's just a few.

One of the top things He's known as is the "Creator" (Isaiah 40:28), which makes sense since He's responsible for the existence of everything. (Revelation 4:11) He's known as "Father" (Isaiah 64:8), since humans are sometimes known as "children of God" (Acts 17:28-29). He's called "God of all comfort" and "Father of tender mercies" (2 Corinthians 1:2-4), due to the fact that He's the ultimate source of comfort whenever we need it. He's known as "the Rock" (Deuteronomy 32:4), due to being a secure place of refuge for His followers and the only means of true salvation. (Isaiah 43:11) His top attribute is love. So much so is this the case that the Bible says He is love. (1 John 4:8)

God is an ever existing eternal supreme being. All human beings are created beings. (The word 'created' is self-explanatory.) That doesn't comes under natural way of life. Humans are not natural but unnatural beings. I mean humans are just robots made of flesh and bones. There may be several eternal beings who knew neither death nor birth and God must be the chief of these eternal beings. IN FACT THIS IS THE REAL EVER EXISTING PHENOMENON. Human beings can think only like human beings. Their thoughts and intelligence are limited. To know and discover more they must come out of what religions and people created in their minds and think freely and independently.

God’s powers are immeasurable and unimaginable. He didn’t want to stay idle with all of his powers. He had created many planets and at last he had got the idea of creating the earth. Those planets are empty while earth rotates filled with many kinds of creatures. After creating the human beings, God might have thought that he had entangled himself in a great responsibility. He had created spirits too for various purposes. He is creating new spirits even now. The possession of these spirits cause new developments on this earth.

I guess God's character is somewhat different from what religions usually think. God's involvement in humans' personal affairs is very rare. God is responsible for what he had created on this earth and human beings are responsible for what they have created on this earth. The religions' teachings and preachings might have made people to think about God in a different angle. They must learn to think about him in a right angle. The relationship between God and human beings is just like a relationship between a scientist and his robots. Humans must think scientifically too. If God wants to do everything himself then why must he create medicinal herbs, plants and science for physical health and moral and discipline for mental health of human kind. Human beings must know the ways to rule themselves on this earth. He is always ready to grant intelligence and all that human beings need. He is always creating new spirits on this earth and make new developments on this earth.

God can determine the life of the human beings but he never does it. Only spirits determine the life of the human beings from their (humans') daily activities, talks and thoughts too.

God never bothers whether people believe in him or not. God's direct intervention in individuals' affairs is very rare. God doesn't watch each and every human being at the same time and cannot live with each and everyone to guide them. These works are done by the spirits. God had created different kinds of spirits for various purposes. He had made the spirits to watch, guide and determine the destiny of the human beings from their daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Your past determines your present and your present determines your future. God has given freewill to all creatures including human beings. According to this, all human beings have all right to live a life as they wish. But if it happens to be bad and hurts someone, they have to face the consequences. These consequences are created by spirits. It's a natural system. After death no one lives in any form. Heaven and hell are only for spirits, not for human beings. God is a mystery even to the spirits. Spirits are not eternal beings but their lifetime is long. Spirits are separate elements. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, instincts, interests and everything. Further there will be always some spirits with you on behalf of your parents, friends, relatives and Gods you believe. Only these spirits make you remember them in a certain situations. All of these spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. A mind is a group/formation of many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. A mind is just like a computer's mind. After the computer is completely destroyed you will not get its mind. The same is the case with the human beings. A brain is a device used by the spirits to control the body and mind. (A senior spirit or a chief can control other spirits) A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. Soul is an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism. After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives after death in any form. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

Yes and no. Every person usually has a personal definition of what "God" means. However, there is no single definition agreed upon by even a simple majority of people.

In the Jewish tradition, G-d is a very powerful being who watches over and judges His chosen people, the Jewish people. There is a Covenant between G-d and the Jewish people, the Torah, which does not apply to non-Jewish people.

In the Christian tradition, God is a unified Trinity composed of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. God is omnipotent, omniscient and generally considered omnibenevolent; in other words, God is all-powerful, all-knowing and the epitome of all that is good in existence. The Christian God is viewed as having authority over all humans regardless of the human's religious beliefs; depending upon the individual denomination, a difference between God's Word as presented in the Bible and a person's religious belief may be considered enough to consign that person to an eternity of damnation in hell.

In the Islamic tradition, God is a single omnipotent, omniscient and generally omnibenevolent being who created existence. The Islamic God is viewed as having authority over all humans regardless of the human's religious beliefs and rejection of Islam is generally considered to be enough to consign that person to an eternity of damnation in hell.

Shifting to Eastern religions, Hinduism describes many Gods, with Shiva being the primary or most influential of them. In Hinduism, time and the world are seen as cyclical - the world has been destroyed and created numerous times and will be again. Individuals are measured and judged at death, and then are reborn into another life based upon that judgement - a good previous life will lead to a better reincarnation, while a bad previous life will lead to a worse reincarnation.

Buddhism describes the existence of gods, but they are simply more powerful human beings that are born, live and die within their own realm of existence. It is possible for a human to be reborn as a god, but this is seen as a punishment, as the gods are unable to achieve enlightenment and escape from the cycle of birth-life-death-rebirth.

As you can see from this extremely limited survey, there are multiple exclusive definitions of "god/God".
