It's more like Jesus Christ found me. We lived across the street from a Bible believing New Testament church. Many good Christians there taught me the Bible and introduced me to Jesus Christ. I understood the plan of salvation and thought I was "in" because I went to church a lot. The Holy Spirit told me "not so". At that point, I accepted Jesus as my Savior, that he died for me on the cross. I asked him into my heart.
A few years later, I recommitted my life to Jesus and began studying the Scriptures in the Bible in detail from Genesis to Revelations. For the first time, I was able to put the entire picture together of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and their relationship to humankind. I began to know Jesus more as a person and he began working more miracles in my life that I never imagined before. My faith in Jesus Christ grew each day and he's still teaching my new things every day.
Sure! I grew up in a Christian family, so faith in Jesus was always a part of my life. As I grew older, I started to develop a personal relationship with Him through prayer, reading The Bible, and attending church regularly. My faith in Jesus has grown stronger through experiencing His love, grace, and guidance in my life.
The New Testament books that are considered biography are the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books recount the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Books such as Isaiah, Micah, and Zechariah in the Old Testament contain prophecies about the coming of the Messiah, who Christians believe to be Jesus Christ. These prophecies foretell various aspects of Christ's life, including his birth, ministry, suffering, and resurrection.
A:Nowhere is the Lord Jesus Christ mentioned in the Old Testament, nor does it contain an actual appearance of Jesus. However, the gospels do symbolically compare Jesus to Adam, Moses, Elijah and Wisdom (Book of Proverbs), so we could choose to regard these as appropriate references.
Christians believe that Jesus was resurrected based on biblical accounts in the New Testament, where various witnesses claimed to have seen Him alive after His crucifixion. The historical evidence and consistency of these accounts support the belief in Jesus' resurrection and continued presence as alive. Faith also plays a significant role in affirming Jesus' resurrection as a central tenet of the Christian faith.
Easter is the Christian celebration of the remembrance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, brought back to life after he was crucified in our place so we could receive salvation.
