Most scholars say NO, this is not a true story.
It was taken from the Apocryphal writings:"Destruction of Bel and the Dragon", which was supposedly an addition to the book of Daniel, but was never considered part of the inspired Jewish canon.
Habakkuk did not bring food to Daniel in the lions' den. In The Bible, the story of Daniel in the lions' den is found in the Book of Daniel, where Daniel was thrown into the den and miraculously protected by God. Habakkuk was a prophet who lived around the same time as Daniel but was not directly involved in that event.

In the Bible, it is mentioned that ravens brought food to Elijah twice a day while he was hiding at the Kerith Ravine.
In the book of Daniel, the word "pulse" refers to a simple diet of vegetables, grains, and water that Daniel and his companions chose to eat instead of the rich food offered by the king. They believed this diet would keep them healthy and faithful to their beliefs.
The Lord compares his disciples to salt in the Bible. Salt preserves and adds flavor to food, just as disciples are called to preserve and bring goodness to the world through their actions and teachings.
The ancient Egyptians worshipped Bastet by offering her gifts, such as food, perfume, and jewelry. They also held festivals and ceremonies in her honor, including processions and dances. Bastet was believed to protect the home, bring fertility, and ward off evil spirits.
Lions are meat eaters. The females with hunt and bring down anything it can eat including people if they are hungry enough
They hunt for them, hide them, share their food, and are basically like a human mother. For the first 3 months lions have milk. After that their introduced to meat. Lions bring food for their little ones. They teach them the dangers of wilderness. Lions provide the cubs with protection. They train them to be brave. For the first 3 months lions have milk. After that their introduced to meat.
Lions are predators; they stalk their prey, and then, when close enough, rush it and bring it down with their claws and teeth. They can hunt alone but are more successful hunting in cooperation with other members of their pride.

lions need food so that they can survive and grow strong.
You can bring food into the zoo but you cannot feed it to the animals. If you have to eat a special diet they will let you bring in food, especially for a baby. My mother used to eat her lunch there several times a week (she had the lifetime pass). There is a restaurant there and food stands. The food at the good restaurant is really good. The small cafe food is nominal.
how did Daniel boone store food
Lions help complete the food chain without them the food chain could collapse.
