When Jesus was baptized (recorded in Matthew 3:16-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, and John 1:32-34), the Holy Spirit descended from heaven in the form of a dove and the Father's voice was heard, declaring Jesus to be His "beloved Son".
In Christian belief, the Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit are considered the three persons of the Holy Trinity. They are understood to exist simultaneously and eternally. There are instances in The Bible, such as the baptism of Jesus, where all three persons are mentioned together, but they are also recognized as distinct entities within the Trinity.
The second person of the Trinity is Jesus Christ. Within Christianity, the Trinity is typically understood as God existing in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
Many Christians believe that the Holy Spirit, which is seen as the presence of God in the world, is among and within believers. They also believe in the Trinity, which teaches that God exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. So in that sense, yes, Jesus is present with us through the Holy Spirit.
the word trinity isn't in the bible if your refering to it. they are not people Father (God) Son ( emanuel Christ Jesus) and the holy spirit
It is believed that Jesus spoke seven phrases while he was on the cross. These phrases are known as the "Seven Last Words of Jesus." They include "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do" and "Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit."
God is considered the father of Jesus in Christian theology because he is believed to be Jesus' divine parent, not his biological father. According to Christian belief, Mary conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit, making Jesus the Son of God while Joseph acted as Jesus' earthly guardian but not his biological father.
No. Jesus distinguishes pretty clearly between the Father and the Holy Spirit.
No. Jesus distinguishes pretty clearly between the Father and the Holy Spirit.
led to by the holy spirit. Father, Son, Holy spirit . Father - God , Son - Jesus Christ , Holy spirit - what jesus left when he died on the cross and went to be with his father-God, in heaven he left his spirit which we call holy spirit to guide us, and we be led by the holy spirit.
The Trinity is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, separate yet together. They are three entities, three parts of a whole.
No way, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are just different forms of the same God. Trinity= Father+Son(Jesus)+ Holy Spirit. Jesus was not possessed by anyone or anything.
You will find written in John 10 a comment from Jesus Christ John 10 30 I and my Father are one. Therefore if the holy spirit be of our Father and Jesus and our Father are one. There is a connection formed between our Father, his Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and Jesus. There are other documented connections of this same subject Isaiah 7:14 where Jesus is referred to by our Father as immanuel (aka El with us some interpret as God with us) John 1:1 is the most often quoted verse to make the connection between our Father, his Spirit and Jesus.
Jesus appeared in his own form, the spirit came in the form of a dove.
No, Jesus had a father. His father was God. The Holy Spirit impregnated Mary by divineintervention.
Well, they are Persons, not things. The Trinity is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
At Jesus' baptism: the Holy Spirit descended in the form of a dove and the Father's voice was heard.
As God the Holy Spirit is worthy of respect and honor and is to be obeyed. What we find in scripture however is that the role of the Holy Spirit is to bring glory to Jesus Christ and God the Father, even though He is Himself fully 'part' of the Godhead. The role of the Holy Spirit is to, in the words of Jesus 'testify of me' and he also brings to our remembrance whatever Jesus has commanded us. Thus it would appear that a focus specifically on the Holy spirit without reference to the one who sent Him is unscriptural, although we ought to give credit where credit is due, since we cannot say 'Jesus is Lord' except by the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirit can also be grieved and it would appear that this may indeed occur if we ignore what God's word says and say that the Holy spirit has led us to do something which God has not commanded but has in fact prohibited. The best way to honor and even 'praise the Holy Spirit is to do what God says and what the Spirit expressly says and that is to honor Jesus Christ and praise Him and glorify God the Father.
Jesus was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, one of the 3 persons of Jehovah God......God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.
