As stated below, God created humans to be perfect like him. But with free will we disobeyed him and became imperfect (viz. the 'Adam and Eve' story). In fact, humans are a pretty sinful lot. Because of our imperfection the relationship between God and humans it is impossible to reach heaven by our own steam (contrary to what Mormons will tell you!). The purpose of Jesus was to open up that way to heaven by his sacrifice on the cross to all who believe and trust in him. This means that by his blood, dying believing in him will wash away those sins annd open heaven to us. Some Catholics will talk of purgatory (a place where you can 'work off' some of your sins for so many years befoe you are 'clean' enough to enter heaven... a sort of spiritual laundry come waiting room) but this idea is contrary to scripture, goes against what Jesus taught, and rather suspect, as it gave rise to many corrupt practices (such as the selling of indulgences) in the medieval catholic church. As the answer below states, read The Bible to add flesh to this rather bony answer. Read Paul's letters as well as Jesus' words. You will find that none of us is perfect by any means, but will be in heaven, thanks to what God, through Jesus, did for us.
AnswerRead the Bible to find the answer to your question. Don't take someone else's opinion. They could lead you in the wrong direction.
AnswerI am studying to become a youth minister. As long as you believe that the blood of Jesus Christ washing away your sins, and when you pray at night ask to be forgiven of your sins and mean it.
If God is perfect. and if God is absolute, then you as His creation is also perfect. So, why worry?
AnswerHumankind was created in the image of God, and all of God's creation was "good," according to Genesis chapter 1. Sadly, the first two humans chose to separate themselves from God. As a result, creation became imperfect.
In theory, one can be perfect to reach Heaven. The problem is, nobody has the ability to be perfect (Romans 3:23). Nobody even has the ability to be "good enough;" after all, if Adam and Eve and their offspring (including you and me) were cursed simply by eating one fruit from one forbidden tree, what hope does lying, hating humankind have?
That's why God sent Jesus to die as a substitute for us. He died the death you and I deserve so we could live the life He lived. You cannot be perfect to enter Heaven, but the atonement of Christ will wash away the imperfection, or sin, that would keep us from Heaven.
OmniBenevolentThe term is patterned on, and often accompanied by, the terms "omniscience" and "omnipotence", typically to refer to conceptions of an "all-good, all-knowing, all-powerful" deity. Philosophers and theologians more commonly use phrases like "perfectly good",[5] or simply the term "benevolence". The word "omnibenevolence" may be interpreted to mean perfectly just, all-loving, fully merciful, or any number of other qualities, depending on precisely how "good" is understood. As such, there is little agreement over how an "omnibenevolent" being would behave.
The notion of an omnibenevolent, infinitely compassionate deity, has raised certain atheological objections, such as the problem of evil and the problem of hell.
AnswerImperfection gives us opportunity to learn and grow. Heaven is not something you go to, rather it is an essence you bring to yourself through awareness of you at the innermost levels.
AnswerFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No one is perfect, but we can be good people and live how God wants us to live.
AnswerYes and no. It will be the people that claim to follow Jesus that will be judged with the greatest intensity. The Bible says that any who claim to be righteous will be given the greatest responsibility. Any of these who do not associate with the poor and sick lepers (unclean) will be judged the most harshly. Jesus spent his entire life associating with lepers, unclean, tax collectors and outcasts. He gave the parable of Lazarus, who was unclean his whole life as the dogs licked his wounds as he begged for scraps of food under the table of the rich man, and yet was received into the arms of Abraham when he died. He leads by example and commanded us to do the same as he did.
According to the Bible you do. Sin defiles a Holy God and so sin cannot dwell in heaven. This is why people need to be covered with the blood of Jesus Christ (spiritually, not literally) which will itself make them perfect, since no person can do this themselves.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
This does not mean of course, that God Himself can be changed by sin but that sin cannot dwell with Holiness in all its true and absolute purity, that is God.
The answer is no. Nobody on Earth, I repeat nobody, is perfect enough to go into heaven. The only person who has never made a mistake is Jesus Christ, God's son. The only way to get into heaven is to trust Jesus, and to ask him to come into your heart. You don't have to be perfect, but you do have to know Jesus as your personal savior. So, what are you waiting for? Do you know Christ?
Answer
Yes. We have to be perfect by all means to our ability. Heaven is deserved for the people who did good works during the lifetime. It can't be received by people who did all bad things in life.
You dont have to be perfect to go to heaven BUT you must be in close relationship to jesus christ. Jesus was perfect and he did go to heaven and as our stereotype we can also be perfect as he was/is perfect, this is called holiness, crucifying the flesh, taking up our cross, eschewing evil. Salvation through the mouth to repentance is the "doorway" to heaven. Narrow is the way and few there be that take it." "it is easier for a poor man to enter heaven than a rich man". The closer to jesus we get the more easier we discover our ability to "keep his commandments". "if you love me you will keep my commandments." Love is the key. Finding jesus is the answer. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Jesus paid the price for sin and now we are judged by our works! (rev 20:12) If we have the heart of god we will gladly do his works and keep his commandments = holiness. So my personal answer would be; seek jesus and dont worry about anything else because everything will fall into place when jesus likes to be around us ALL the time.
he will create a new heaven in future because we are going to live not only once we will die and live for how many times only god knows and we will have a new life started all over again so when we die in our new life which is after death then we will go to the new heaven. answer given by: subha affan age:12
Mosquitoes are insects and do not have souls like humans do. Different religions have different beliefs, but most agree that only beings with souls can go to heaven.
In Islamic belief, prophets are considered to be sinless and are guaranteed a place in heaven. However, it is not guaranteed for all humans to go to heaven as it is based on their beliefs and deeds.
Trees do not have beliefs or a concept of an afterlife. In many religions, heaven is typically viewed as a place for humans or spiritual beings, not physical entities like trees. However, some people may believe that trees have a spiritual significance or connection to the divine.
"Heaven on Earth" is a phrase commonly used to describe a place or experience that brings immense joy, happiness, and peace, akin to the bliss one might imagine in the afterlife. It symbolizes a state of perfect harmony and contentment in one's surroundings or circumstances.
no you are ageless in heaven! you r perfect in heaven
Everything in heaven is supposed to be perfect, so if something is made in heaven, it is something that is perfect. Example: A match made in heaven is the perfect match with no visiable flaws.
All Dogs Go to Heaven The Series - 1996 The Perfect Dog 1-13 was released on: USA: 22 February 1997
A:Taoism (Daoism) has no hell. Those who have achieved perfect knowledge and goodness go to heaven when they die. Others are reincarnated into another body, in a cycle of death and rebirth, until they have achieved these goals
Yes. No one that has not been forgiven and cleaned will enter heaven.
Truly, its just more than believing. You need to follow the Lord and become perfectly pure in order to go to heaven. Heaven is for the souls of the flawless, not for sinners. If you believe in heaven, yet still sin willingly, when your body dies your soul will have to overcome sin the hardest way: in hell. If you become perfect and wholly righteous in this life, heaven is yours to share with God !
A:Yes. Just as Christians believe they go to heaven through faith in Jesus Christ, Jews believe they go to heaven through good works, Muslims believe they go to heaven though submission to Allah and even Zoroastrians believe they go to heaven through Ahura Mazda. Some eastern religions believe in a series of rebirths until you achieve perfect righteousness and knowledge, after which you leave the cycle of rebirths and ascend to heaven. There is no evidence that one religion is more true than another, and each has its way to heaven.
of course you can! God said that heaven is perfect so if you need someything in it it will be :D
Nobody knows for certain but most people feel that heaven will have the perfect temperature and climate.
Heaven is often believed to be a perfect place in many religious beliefs, where there is no suffering, pain, or evil. It is described as a place of eternal happiness and peace.
Yes, but when he died on the cross he took every body's sin, sickness, disease, etc. So that we could go to heaven and not hell!!
Muslims believe that the deeds that you have done in your life determine whether you will go to heaven or not. YES.they are good. There should be no raiscist thoughts all Muslims are good.Anyone will go to heaven as long as they accept that they are not holy or perfect, and need to accept the blood of Christ that was already shed to pay for sins. The price was ALREADY paid we just need to accept the payment.
