God's forgiveness is endless. You just ask him to forgive him, and truly mean it, and he will. However humans, earthly fathers, are human! We sin. We are meant to forgive but it isn't that easy for us. So we pray that we may be forgiven.

An earthly father's forgiveness may be limited by human emotions and biases, while a heavenly father's forgiveness is boundless and unconditional. Earthly forgiveness may come with conditions or expectations, whereas heavenly forgiveness is offered freely and without requirement of any personal merit or action on the part of the forgiven. Ultimately, the forgiveness of a heavenly father is seen as perfect and complete, offering true restoration and reconciliation without limitations.
