St. Andrew was a fisherman, along with his brother Simon Peter, from the town of Bethsaida in Galilee. He was a disciple of St. John the Baptist and became the first apostle of Our Lord. He preached the Gospel in Asia Minor, Greece and, possibly, Russia. He was crucified on an x-shaped cross in Greece.
Andrew was originally a commercial fisherman and later became an apostle of Our Lord. He went on to become a bishop and missionary, preaching the Gospel in Greece and, possibly, Russia.
The Apostle Paul became a missionary and spread the teachings of Jesus throughout Asia Minor and Southeastern Europe. He wrote many letters (epistles) to early Christian communities in these regions to provide guidance and encouragement. His missionary journeys were instrumental in spreading Christianity beyond its Jewish origins.
Some (most?) Greeks are Christians. Greeks are the people of Greece. It is a nationality, like being American or Russian. You can be any religion and Greek. Christians are people who believe in the religion of Christianity. Like most other religions, there are Christians all over the world. You can be any nationality and Christian. There is a Greek Orthodox Church that I think many Greeks belong to and I believe it follows a version of Christianity that split from what is now Roman Catholic tradition. In ancient times, the main religion was what we now think of as Greek mythology. There were also Greeks who became Jews or Christians and there were people from the Middle East lands who had converted to Christianity and went to Greece or Greek-ruled lands and therefore became Greeks.
Peter would have been about 30 years old when he became an apostle.
