Jesus died for our sins. That's some big suffering. He didnt have to do it bacause He is God (the trinity), but He suffered because He loves us. Every single one of us!
Jesus was arrested (unfairly) and was whipped. the leather had bits of glass in it. ouch! He was made to carry His own cross, which is really big and heavy. Plus he was already tired from being whipped so brutally. (I say this because He is both God AND man. He slept, and ate just like us) A crown of thorns was pushed into His head. THey weren't removed until His body was taken down. He was hung on a cross by nails in His hands and feet! (crusifiction) Can you imagine? His boddy weight tugging on the nails in his hands and feet??? He was mocked by putting a sign on His cross above Him. And He had to just hang there painfully intill it killed Him. The next day a soldier came throught to make sure the men who were crucified were dead. He broke the other two mens' legs, but stuck a spear into Jesus' side. blood and water came out.
Three days later Jesus rose from the dead to show that He is God and even death cannot restrain Him. He died so that we did not have to go to Hell. but if we belive in Him we can have eternal life with Him, the Father (God), and the Holy Spirit in heaven. That's where I'm going! I hope to see you there!!!
P.S. Jesus rose about 40 days later into heaven to be with God and the Holy Spirit. Read about it in The Bible!!!! :D
This occurs in Mark's gospel, Chapter 10 verses 13 - 16: People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Godbelongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
The word "suffer" appears 10 times in the First Epistle of Peter. Peter emphasizes the idea of enduring suffering for the sake of righteousness and following the example of Christ.
when Jesus was arrested peter tried to protect Jesus and peter then sliced off the mans head who was attacking Jesus. Jesus got angry from that told him off and healed the man who was trying to attack Jesus.
Peter was the disciple to deny Jesus three times.
Jesus has two syllables. (Je-sus)
Suffer!
If you are a Christian you will see Jesus. If not, you will suffer for eternity. In heaven, there is Jesus and God and there is no tears or pain.
Jesus made it that way
We make a Lenten promise because Jesus suffered for us. So we do a little thing by giving up something and suffer a small amount like Jesus. So like Jesus suffered on the cross we suffer by giving up something.
My understanding is that He was executed.
to kill him on the spot and to suffer eternally
Jesus was not married. He lived and died a virgin. Therefore, he could not have invited his "wife" anywhere.
AnswerThe prophet Isaiah referred a great deal to Jesus' sufferings for us.
Jesus told us to rejoice and be exceeding glad when we suffer for his name's sake, (Mathew 5.12). But if we suffer for our sins; this should lead us to repentance and faith in God's forgiveness in Jesus Christ.
The Buddha told Christ, "Suffer to be enlightened." Jesus told him, No. ___ Christ told the Buddha, "Suffer to redeem my flock." The Buddha said, Ommm...
Yes, Jesus died upon the cross, Jesus suffered pain and loss Then, why had He to suffer so? Why to the cross he had to go It was for you, It was for me that Jesus hanged upon a tree. Was that the end, the bitter end> No, Jesus then to heaven went
Yes, it is one of the direct statements attributed to Jesus, and it is referenced in both Mark 10:14 and Matthew 19:14. In this context, "suffer" means "allow".
