Saint Katharine Drexel was an American religious sister that was canonized, this is, received the title of Saint, by the Roman Catholic Church in the year 2000. She was the founder of the religious congregation 'Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament' and dedicated her life and material possessions to help those in need. After her death, she was canonized by Pope John Paul II after the conclusion of that a man named Robert Gutherman was miraculously cured of his deafness due to the intercession of Mother Drexel.
