God's love for mankind is described in The Bible, which is His way He has chosen to communicate with us.

Here is what God has to say in Micah 6. ( " He has told you, O man/woman, what is good. And what is Jehovah God requiring of you? or (asking back from you) Only to walk in modesty with your God ! This involves thinking and acting in harmony with God's standards of right and wrong.

1 John 5: 3 reads " For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome". Which means that Jehovah God is close to those who show their love for him by doing their best to obey his commandments.

Jehovah the originator of love, well knows that love has immense power to bring out the best in others. So despite the persistent rebelliousness of unfaithful mankind, he has remained confident that some humans would respond to his love. Read Isaiah 48: 17,18.

Jehovah God as a good friend reminds us of things that can protect and benefit us, as confirmed in Isaiah 48: 17,18.

John 3:16 reads: " For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."

Psalms 37: 29 reminds us of what our future holds in these words. " The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it. " Which was what was offered to our progenitors Adam and Eve. Read Genesis 2: 17. The requirements were that they live up to God's standards.

Well ! that did not happen, which explains why our world is in such turmoil, that God's kingdom ( the government that ) will undo all the harm that millenniums of human rule have done.

It will provide. Prefect health for us, peace and security, and a clean environment.

So to answer your question of how to return God's love for mankind. The Scriptures above have shown us that God has given his only-begotten Son to save all those who decide to live up to his requirements that is not burdensome and beneficial for us, with the possibility to live forever on earth, just as it was offered to Adam and Eve.

Genesis chapter 3 is mankind's history. Read Romans 5: 12 also.
