The only people to escape the fire at Sodom was Lot and his two daughters, his wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt.
It was two angels to rescue Lot and his family from the doomed cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 18 and Genesis 19:26
Lot's wife was told not to look back at Sodom and Gomorrah. When she did, she turned to a pillar of salt. Genesis 19:26
Genesis, chapter 11 tells us that Lot was the grandson of Terah. Terah was also the father of Abram (Abraham). This would make Lot Abraham's nephew. Lot accompanied Abraham and Sarah to Canaan. It was Lot who moved to Sodom and it was Lot's wife who was turned into a piller of salt because she looked back at Sodom as God was destroying that city. Lot and two of his daughters fled Sodom and was living in a cave. The daughters fearing their family would become extinct got their father, Lot, drunk with wine and each had a child by him. One child was the progenitor of the Moabites, and the other son was the progenitor of the Ammonites.
Lot, his wife, and their two daughters fled Sodom and Gomorrah before the cities were destroyed by fire and brimstone. However, Lot's wife looked back against the warning and turned into a pillar of salt.
no lot was already married before they came to sodom or gomrrah.
It is not known when Lot got married. Lot appears in the book of Genesis in the bible. In his story he and his wife flee Sodom and Gomorrah but his wife is turned into a pillar of salt when she looks back at the city of Sodom.
She dies (;
It was two angels to rescue Lot and his family from the doomed cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Genesis 18 and Genesis 19:26
Lot offered his two daughters to the men of Sodom when they wanted the Angels to come out of the house. Lot did not offer his daughters to the Angels.
Lot and his family, buthis wife turned around and became a pillar of salt.
2 Peter 2:7 When the 2 angels delivered Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah, vs: And delivered just (righteous) Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
Abraham. Although he didn't specify Lot by name, Abraham appealed for the safety of the "righteous" of the city. See Genesis 18:20-33.
Lot didn't really have a "job" per se. He was, basically, a herdsman.
Uh,....Sodom and Gomorrah were cities in the Bible, not books. Not sure what the question is?
The "meaning" of Sodom and Gomorrah is best summarized in the New Testament: 2 Peter 2:6 - and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; Jude 1:7 - as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
It is possible that there were homosexuals before the time of Sodom and Gomorrah. But it had increased to much higher level at Sodom and Gomorrah times.
