Until the end of the Great Tribulation. Read Revelations in the Bible.
Satan is a created being. He was one of the most important angels in heaven, but he sinned and was cast out of heaven. He still has limited access to heaven but spends much of his time on earth. The planet earth has an atmosphere that is breathable for human beings. We call the oxygen we breathe "air". Since Satan has his domain on earth (after getting it away from Adam) and rules from earth he is called the "prince of the power of the air".
Satan was not cast to the Earth but to Hell for revolt and defiance against God.When Satan learnt that God had made Earth he was eager to see it as it was formed in the deep void.He did circle the Earth and visit it before the creation of Adam but saw Angles guarding it and hid in the dark void and then in a dark hole as a snake on Earth before entering the garden of Eden. The Genesis must not be taken as literal but a metaphorical explanation for Creation . People in antiquity were not aware of certain scientific truth as we know today and has this day resulted in unresolved theological debates.
While Faust is alive and walks the Earth, the devil (Mephistopheles) does his bidding. But once he dies he will go straight to hell and do the devil's bidding for the rest of eternity. If he ever wants to prolong his time on Earth, he will die immediately. The contract is signed in blood.
A:Jeffrey B. Russell (The Prince of Darkness: Radical Evil and the Power of Good in History) says that the role of the Devil is to exonerate God for the existence of evil. He says that the Devil is a human construct to explain the existence of evil, in the presence of an all-good, all-powerful creator God. The person of Satan in the Book of Job is an earlier, post-Exilic notion of Satan as the loyal assistant to God, one whose image evolved into an autonomous, wholly evil adversary of God.Christians took a different approach to evolving Judaism and saw the Devil as an evil personification of Satan. Without Satan, God would be responsible for all the evil in the world, and the role of the Devil is to exonerate God.
In Christian theology, the prince of this world is often interpreted as a reference to Satan. This belief stems from various passages in the Bible that describe Satan as having dominion and influence over the earthly realm.
Satan will be given rule for 1,000 years, then be destroyed. Then God will assume his role. Supposedly..
He did not kill Satan. He killed the symbol of the snake (the snake). God is the only person who can kill satan
Satan fell to Earth from Heaven according to Christian beliefs.
Most Christians hold that Satan's dominion is Hell. Earth is shared by both angels and demons and Satan does not exercise complete power over the Earth. However, Satan does have the ability to create illusion and temptation for those who dwell upon the Earth.
God cast him out of heaven.
Evolution.
Never.
Potentially anywhere on earth
With the birth, life and ministry of Jesus, it was the beginning of the end for Satan's rule of the world. When Jesus died on the cross the plan was completed. Satan was defeated, the sacrafice complete. It is now just a matter of time before Christ returns and rids the world of sin for eternity. He will then rule the new heaven and the new earth. It will be His rule, not that of the fallen angel Lucifer. It will truly be the Kingdom of God, at last.
the vatican( luke 10.18) I beheld satan as lightning falling from heaven
Satan was jealous of Adam because, after he was cast down to earth, he had no place to settle, no responsibility, no job. Adam was created in Gods image, loved by God, blessed by God, and God gave him power to rule over the earth, Satan thought Adam was going to rule over him, so he must do something fast to destroy that power of Adam and the beautiful relationship between Adam and God, so tempted them and unfortunately succeeded.
A:For almost two thousand years, Christians have believed that Satan is capable of defying the will of God. Paradoxically they believe, at the same time, that God is omnipotent and therefore surely capable of negating Satan's every effort. Some Christians believe that Satan took lordship over the earth when Satan fell, other Christians are uncertain when this happened, while others say that Satan has never had lordship over the earth although he has many powers.
