Woman's punishment is very confusing indeed. She supposedly ate a fruit, meaning that she sank her teeth into it, took a bite, chewed and swallowed. Either it got hopelessly lost and went down the wrong way, or YHWH had no idea of human anatomy at that time, because he blighted her reproductive processes instead of her digestive system! He obviously didn't know that Jesus was eventually going to have to make his way through there in order to become earthbound, because God blighted that conduit instead of her alimentary canal.

And when is everybody going to wake up an READ the story? She was only named EVE just before she and Adam were kicked out of God's nudist resort! Nowhere is the name "Eve" (Hawwah) mentioned from the moment she was presented to Adam right up to when they and the enigmatic "serpent" were castigated.

What was Adam's punishment? He would have to process all the plants before he could eat them, that's all. " ... By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread ... ".

According to The Bible which is a letter from God for our teaching and setting things straight as confirmed in 2 Timothy 3: 16,17, So let me walk you through a few scriptures to answer your question.

According to Genesis 2: 15-17 Adam and Eve had received the gift of everlasting life. By not eating from the tree of knowledge of good and bad, the first couple would have shown their obedience to the One who gave them life. It would also have shown that they recognized God's right to direct their way.

Genesis 2: 17 is a clear statement of the penalty given by God if violated. So Eve's punishment in the beginning was her lost of her opportunity to live forever.

Genesis 3: 1-5 shows the choice she made fully aware of God's requirements. Genesis 3: 16-19 talks about the hereditary penalty for mankind. which is pain in giving birth, being dominated by husbands, who will earn a living in the sweat of their face, grow old and return to the ground, where they were taken from. Read Genesis 2: 7 which shows that we were formed by God, out of dust.

But the punishment was tranmitted to mankind according to Romans 5: 9 which reads. "Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men Etc.." The word sin means ( lost of perfection )

God has not left mankind without his solution to wipe out that curse.

Read 1 John 5: 19,20 which shows that we have the opportuity to choose which influence that will steer our life. The world that is lying in the power of the wicked one or the knowledge and insight given by Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12: 9 describes the wicked one in these words. " The original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth.

Genesis 3: 4,5 shows that the serpent promised Eve that she will be like God. Well that did not happen, did it?

2 Timothy 3: 16,17 shows that God's word is beneficial for us to become fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

We all have the choice just like Adam and Eve did. Life or death.

According to Psalms 37: 9 and 29 only the righteous will possess the earth. God's purpose has not changed.

Knowledge from the Bible is lifesaving. Read 1 Timothy 2: 4,5. that talks about God's will is that all sorts of people be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

So just like Eve we can choose God's influence and purpose for mankind or Satan's influence with its outcome.

Matthew 6: 9,10 shows that Jesus told us to pray for God's Kingdom to come, where His will, will take place. Jesus would never have asked us to pray for something that will not come true.

Eve was given increased birth pains, as well as a dysfunctional relationship with Adam (Genesis 3:16); no longer having that treasured one she originally had upon her creation. (Genesis 2:18 & 23) She also would experience old age and death just like Adam. (Genesis 3:19)
