The Book of Esther does not mention God, and is not really a book about religion at all. However , mention of God occurs in the Additions to Esther, which are included in the Catholic Bible although Jerome acknowledged that the Additions were not authentic.

Catholic Answer The Book of Esther does mention God in the Catholic Bible which is based on The Greek Septuagint. The Septuagint version of Esther has 107 more verses than the Masoretic text (MT). These verses seem to have been put in to make the book more suitably religious: the Hebrew text does not mention God at all, while the additions are either prayers or references to God or good Jewish practices.

The Hebrew book of Esther doesn't contain any of God's names. Two reasons are given for this. One is that the Book of Esther was at first promulgated by Mordecai and Esther as a missive to the various Jewish communities through the hands of the official Persian messengers (see Esther 9:20-32), who might not treat it with the carefulness that Jewish law requires for any document containing a name of God. The second reason is to allude to God's presence being hidden from us during our time of exile (Deuteronomy 31:18, whose Hebrew wording hints to Esther's name).
