I don't think so. If your ultimate goal is God's satisfaction, then you can make God happy by your positive deeds. When you have a nice house it may give you a positive feeling and that positive energy can absolutely help you do good deeds in your life. Anyhow, My family and I are living in an old house. Pray for us as maybe by the energy which your pray produces we can change our house.
Love you. By for now
A medieval villein might want to live in a town for opportunities to buy and sell goods, obtain protection within the walls, have access to markets and fairs for trade, and potentially escape the control of their lord. Towns also offered the chance to learn new skills and trades, which could lead to more freedom and better living conditions.
It is not customary to bring a gift to a memorial service, at least in the U.S. In some American religious and cultural groups it is a nice gesture to send flowers to the funeral home or to the place where the memorial will be held. Sending sympathy cards is a very widespread custom.
People choose to become monks and nuns because they wish to dedicate their lives absolutely to God and the the work of God (or indeed to the work of their respective religion - be it Buddhism or Hinduism). In choosing to do this, they put no thing and no one before their faith, and are absolute. They seek God by living pure lives; following the example of prophets before them (and Christian monks follow the example of Jesus, who is not believed a prophet), aiming to become more like God, and to go to Heaven. They become monks and nuns to be separate from society, to escape the temptations of society and the world, and to seek sanctity, living a Godly life. You would not become a monk or nun for the money, as you may not receive any and will live off natural products grown by yourself under the grace of God, but yet you gain greater riches than you could deem imaginable in the Kingdom of God in Heaven, and on Earth you live a good and satisfying life too.
A "Christian" is someone who says that they believe God, but go out and live any way they want to live. Sometimes they try to justify it using scripture, but they are just distorting the truth. In reality they are still lost. A committed Christian is someone who actually lives according to God's precepts and want to further their relationship with Him. You can see in their lives that they are truly committed to God by the way that they live and act around you, and even what they do when people are dissing what they believe. A committed Christian sticks with God no matter what. Yes, sometimes their faith may be shaken, but in the end they should come out stronger having trusted God all the way through their trials.

The simplest answer is that it is their home. It is where their life and family are. It is what they are used to. It is where they want to live. Both places have some nice areas that are good to live in, attracting many visitors too. So there are many reasons why people live in north Africa and Indonesia.
No. If you have your parent's permission, then you can live with who you want.

Well I have been in the market for a while and I have to say if you want a old house the price is around 150000 to 400000, some nice houses are around 350000 600000, and if you want a nice home that's in a nice neighborhood or if kind of big then 500000 to 1million.
You can ask a special, nice family member to keep you.
