Not all Pharisees were that bad since some believed. Paul was a Pharisee.

Hypocrisy is bad in whoever has it and the Pharisees were worse since they were the religious teachers of the day and not only should have known better themselves but they also led many astray from the right path.

Outside the Bible are there any verifiable proof that Paul was a Pharisee?

There is no verifiable proof of Paul being a Pharisee outside of the Bible. However, some scholars believe that Paul's writings reflect knowledge and understanding of Pharisaic traditions and theology, which may suggest that he had Pharisaic background or training.

In the Bible are Simon the leper and the pharisee the same person?

Were the owners of the house the same? They were both named Simon, but this was a common name of the time: two of the disciples were named Simon (Simon Peter, Simon the Zealot), as well as Judas Iscariot's father (Jn 6:71) and one of Jesus' brothers (Mk 6:3). One Simon is described as a Pharisee and the other as "Simon the Leper". Since "Pharisee" only means that one adhered to the beliefs of that sect, a leper could theoretically be a Pharisee, albeit a permanently unclean one. But if a man is a leper, and known as "Simon the Leper," it's unlikely he would be described simply as a Pharisee.

Who was the Bible's most famous Pharisee?

What is the historical connection between the Bible and Qur'an?

Most Muslims believe that the Qur'an was revealed to the prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel, and therefore has no historical association with the Bible. Scholars and some Muslims recognise that the Qur'an was really written by humans during and after the lifetime of Muhammad, based on a knowledge of the Bible.
