Yes, it is real..
Several years ago I questioned everything spiritual/religious, basically everything that had to do with God. I wondered if He even existed. After being depressed and suicidal for a few years, He began to reveal Himself to me. I know many people won't believe my testimony, but I can't question what I experienced! And it's not something I thought I experienced, I promise. I felthim. Other people I know who feel His presence have said that it's better than the feeling you get when you get high from drugs or smoking--they've been there and actually used to do those things.
Many people don't believe in God, but allow me to give you something to think about--if he wasn't real, why do all these atheists and drug addicts and ex-convicts come to church and have their lives transformed? If it was all hype and nothing substantial that you can feel, then why would they keep believing in it? Anyways, just wanted to give anyone who may read this some thoughts. :)
And as far as the spiritual life goes...yes, it's "out there". It's not too far to reach, either. There's obviously both types of spirits--the ones who are of God, and the ones of Satan. I've experienced speaking in tongues and other spiritual things. I know that this type of thing scares some people, but it's truly nothing to be afraid of. Being filled with the spirit of God is the most amazing thing that anyone could ever experience!! It feels so--awesome! I can't explain it! It feels so invigorating, and you know that you have touched God. It's not just "going through the motions", but you feel this overwhelming power and love wrap around you. It's really incredible, but you have to experience to completely comprehend what I'm saying. It's just indescribable. :)
But yes, spiritual life is "out there", and so is God! All you have to do is ask Him to reveal Himself to you, really and truly...you've gotta be sincere..just ask Him if He will show you every truth about Himself. But one of the biggest truths is that He loves you! He loves every human, even if they commit sins against Him. No one is perfect; we all make our mistakes, but He's always merciful and loving enough to forgive us. 2 Peter 3:9 says "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
He loves us. He wants us to experience a relationship with Him.
Anyways, I hope this answers your question!! :)

Yes, the spiritual life is a journey of self-discovery and connection to something greater than oneself. It involves exploring inner truths, seeking meaning and purpose, and practicing mindfulness and compassion towards oneself and others. It can be found in various religious or philosophical traditions, as well as through personal introspection and experiences.
Spiritual atrophy refers to a decline in one's spiritual health or well-being, often characterized by a lack of spiritual practices, disconnection from one's beliefs, or a sense of emptiness or drift in one's spiritual life. It can manifest as feelings of apathy, doubt, or disconnectedness from one's spiritual path or purpose. Regular spiritual practice, reflection, and mindfulness can help counteract spiritual atrophy.
The key to a spiritual life is self-awareness, mindfulness, and a sense of connection to something greater than oneself. It involves practices such as meditation, prayer, and reflection to cultivate inner peace and harmony. Living with compassion, gratitude, and humility are also essential aspects of a spiritual life.
The pneumatics ("spiritual", from Greek πνεῦμα, "spirit") were, in gnosticism, the highest order of humans as opposed to hylics. The Pneumatic saw himself as escaping the doom of the material world via the secret knowledge.
