"The Covenant" is a movie about four teenage warlocks (male witches) that have to fight against jealousy and suspicions that could tear them apart as they try to fight a 5th power that they believed died a long time ago but threatens to destroy them. There have been rumors of a sequel (part 2) but they have yet to be confirmed.
In Christianity, there are several covenants that God made with humanity throughout the Bible. Some of the most notable covenants include the covenant with Noah (Genesis 9), the covenant with Abraham (Genesis 12), the covenant with Moses (Exodus 19), and the new covenant through Jesus Christ (Luke 22). Each covenant established a particular relationship between God and his people.
The outward sign was, and still is, the brit milah, which is the covenant of circumcision.Another outward sign of God's covenant with the Israelites is the Torah scrolls which the Israelites (Jews) possess. The scroll is called the Book of the Covenant (Exodus 24:4), the Ten Commandments are called the Tablets of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 9:9), and Judaism as a whole is called the Covenant (2 Kings 23:3). There are several answers to this question, depending upon how one defines 'covenant' and if they include them in a broad category or break them out. In Scripture, a Covenant is between God and His Creation. The definition broadly speaking is: A covenant is a contract between two parties, and breaking a covenant may be a violation of law that brings judgment/punishment. Some believe there are 7 Covenants (6 completed or in progress) as follows: 1. Edenic 2. Adamic 3. Noahic 4. Abrahamic 5. Mosaic or Sinatic or Old Covenant for the Israelites first 6. New Covenant including all mankind up to the Millenium 7. Fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant (Psalms 89;132)and Jeremiah 31-31-34.
The second covenant was the one that God gave at Mount Sinai, which reinforced the covenant that God had given to Abraham, and told the Jews what they would have to do as their side of the covenant. God again promised to stay with the Jews and never to abandon them, because they were his chosen people. (see the related link)
The first covenant in the Bible is the covenant between God and Noah after the Great Flood, where God promises to never again destroy the world with a flood and establishes the rainbow as a sign of this covenant.
There's no such movie called The Covenant 2 but if there was, it would most likely be called The Covenant 2.
The sequel comes out sometime this summer.
