WHY DOES THE DEVIL TRICK US?

Satan the Devil, is the chief Adversary of Jehovah God. Jesus said at John 8:44, " .....he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie." Another reason is that the Devil uses deception to increase his influence.​—2 Corinthians 11:14 mentions, "And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light." He is a wicked spirit that was cast down to the earth along with his followers the Demons. (Revelation 12:9) (New World Translation of the Holy Spirit)

Why does the Devil trick us?

The Devil tricks people, because that is what he has chosen to do the day God created the humankind. Read Genesis 3: 1-5

It is also important to understand that Adam and Eve have also chosen to be deceived by the Devil who promised Eve that she will be like God in Genesis 3: 4. Well ! that did not happen. Did it?

What actually happened is written in Genesis 3: 16-19, which is, the earth being cursed, a lot of pain giving birth and working for a living, and finally the return to dust, where they were taken from, confirmed in Genesis 2: 7

According to Genesis 2: 15-17 Adam and Eve were settled in a perfect environment, called the Garden of Eden. God gave them the instruction they needed to be successful. Verse 16,17 reads: " Jehovah God also gave this command to the man: " From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for the day you eat from it you will certainly die."

Adam knew that if he did not eat from the tree, he would not die. That command would have made no sense if Adam was meant to grow old and die anyway. The rest is history with its consequence for mankind, described in Romans 5: 12.

1 John 5: 19 reads: "We originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one"

Verse 20 shows that Jesus came on earth to give us insight ( mental perception; intellectual capacity) so that we may gain knowledge of the one who is true. And we are in union with the one who is true, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting.

So we are not left without help. Everlasting life on earth is still God's purpose for the humankind. Psalm 37 29, which is a prophecy reads. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they wil live forever on it". Mankind has the choice between God's purpose or the Devil's purpose, in the same way Adam and Eve did. There are only two ways, God's way or the Devil's way.

Jeremiah 10: 23 reads, " It does not belong to man/woman who is walking even to direct his step". What does that mean?

Humans were not created to rule themselves. They do a poor job of governing other people and solving their problems.

Remember what the Devil promised Eve in Genesis 3: 4. He said to her. " For God knows that the very day you eat from it, (the tree) your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad."

Today our world is full of people who have the God-like complex, who have entitled attitudes that cause a lot of suffering in families, at work, in sports, in politics and so forth.

So to answer your question, which is why does the devil trick us? We all have the free choice to either listen to God or be influenced by the spirit of our world, that is under the Devil's influence.

1 Timothy 2: 4-6 reads. "Whose will is ( God's will ) that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all.

Revelation 4: 11 reads. " You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created". The Devil wants the honour that is owed to God by mankind.

John 8: 44 shows that the Devil is a liar, a murderer and that he speaks according to his own disposition.

Satan seeks to condemn mankind to the same end he will soon experience-Eternal destruction. (Revelation 20:10) So just like he did with Eve back in Eden (Genesis 3:1-5), Satan looks to mislead as many as possible (2 Corinthians 4:4), angry that he not only lost the war in Heaven, but that he is soon to die. Devil is an evil spirit. It find pleasure in doing bad things in this world.

God has given freewill to all creatures including human beings and spirits. Spirits are separate elements. Human beings can make their own choices using their sixth sense. Freewill enables human beings to live any kind of life but if they hurt anyone they have to face the consequences. The same is the case with the spirits. Freewill enables them to possess any person and dominate them but if they force and hurt the person then they have to face the consequences. Humans’ lives depend on the character and intelligence of the possessed spirits. If the chosen spirits are good, their life will be good. Your activities, talks and thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life.

God is a mystery even to the spirits therefore certain spirits have become atheists. Among these atheists certain spirits have become evil. Among these evil, certain spirits took themselves the leadership and call themselves Satan.

Human beings are ruled by spirits but humans must learn to control and rule the spirits. Spirits possess people according to the mental state of the human beings and keep them in the same state until they are rejected and replaced by another. This is an all time phenomena occurring in all humans. Human beings are always under the influence of spirits. Certain situations and circumstances cause the possession of certain type of spirits. Often thinking and talking about bad subjects or bad imaginations even for fun can take serious turns on one who think and talk. Often thinking and talking about good subjects with good imaginations can create positive effects in your life. Your favorable thoughts and beliefs can bring favorable spirits by your side. The more you think the more would be the possession of that spirit. All spirits (good and bad) have the possessing and dominating nature. Only because of this nature a drunkard dies as a drunkard and a scholar reaches a top position by studying more and more. They can take you to the extent of sacrifice or suicide.

All of your activities, talks and even thoughts determine what kind of spirits you will have for your life. Only these spirits are the reason for the good and bad happening in your life. These spirits determine your destiny from your daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Spirits are separate elements. A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Further there will be always some spirits on behalf of your parents, friends, relatives and other people. These spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is a device used by your spirits to control your body. A mind is a combination/formation of many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get its mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism. After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives after death in any form and there is no afterlife. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

You must not leave your mind in its own way. If you do, the spirit will take full control of your mind, then controlling it is not so easy. First of all you must think and believe that it's not you. Then you must command that spirit both mentally and orally to go. Whenever you are possessed by that thought you must divert your mind at once towards some other subject and stay in it for a while and then continue your duty. This is a mental exercise. You may also bring at once an opposite feeling through your imagination. For example if the depression is about your future then you may think, imagine and believe that you are going to live a healthy, wealthy and happy life in future. You must continue this exercise for few days. While doing this exercise you are creating an opposing spirit, i.e., a positive force. Soon this new spirit gets stronger and eliminates the negative force. Within a few days you will be alright.

The devil is known as the deceiver. According to The Bible, Satan came to Jesus and told him he could have all that he could see if He would bow down to him.

If in life we saw and realized many of the things that we do that look great and pleasurable but do us harm, we wouldn't do them. To many this is the devil tempting us to go against God.

In the Christian faith the fact of a thesis and anti-thesis has always been accepted, therefore, that is why Satan is seen as the deceiver.
