St. Sebastian's feast day is January 20th. Sebastian was born at Narbonne, Gaul in the year 256. He became a soldier in the Roman army in about 283, and was made captain a few years later. Christians were being prosecuted by the emperor at that time, and when it was discovered that Sebastian was a Christian he was shot with arrows. The marksmen leaved him to die but he was found and nursed back to health. Sebastian went to the Emperor to speak out against his cruelty towards Christians and the Emperor had him beaten to death.
