religion teaches us our gender

Answer:

All living things are given a nature. They must live according to that given nature. Animals and plants have one nature and man and human have another. As human, we must live according to that given nature. As human, we ought to be kind, loving, sympathetic, loving, caring, patient and tolerant. We have to make a conscious effort to reveal these kindly and humane qualities because these qualities are not a part of our conduct. We are required to practice a religion, to bring these essential qualities in our conduct by gaining knowledge, through devotion by doing deeds that are good. Religion asks us to believe in our creator. It asks us to direct our love and devotion towards it. We are required to read scriptures and lastly we have to perform certain rituals. The divine quality, through patience and practice, gradually seeps into our conduct. Through religion, we acquire at least the semblance of human. We learn to live in peace with each other. That is the sole purpose of religion.
