Jesus the Christ was the Son of God and therefore sinless. He did not sin.... ever. But in order to died for the sins of mankind while He was on the cross of Calvary all the sins of mankind was turned over to Him. He had to take our sins into His body and die. They were not His sins they were our sins but he took them upon Himself and died in our place. This is why when we accept Jesus as our Savior our sins are gone because He took them at Calvary. We as Christians will never be judged for our sin as Jesus took care of them when he was sacrificed for them.

The agony of Crucifixion was a terrible death, but can you imagine the extra agony that Jesus had, being a sinless person taking all the sin of mankind upon Himself. Only Jesus could have done this.

This means that Jesus took on the consequences of sin on behalf of humanity by being crucified and bearing the weight of the world's sins. Through his sacrifice, he offered a way for people to be forgiven and reconciled with God. It signifies the depth of his love and redemption for humanity.
