Meat because there was no cattle.
The answer is nothing. Nothing is greater than God, nothing is more evil than the devil, poor people have nothing, rich people need nothing, and if you ate nothing you would die. NOTHING is greater than god... NOTHING is more evil than the devil..... the poor have NOTHING.....the rich need NOTHING..... and if you eat NOTHING u will die!
Jesus was known to eat bread, fish, wine---whatever was handy. He lived off the land, too, eating things like figs, and different fruits.Since the Middle East was part of the Roman Empire there was a wide variety of foods that were exported. They would have had oranges, limes, lemons, eels, fish, beef, rice, breads of all sorts, soups and strew, beef, and lamb, birds of all sorts were also eaten. New World foods like potatoes, tomatoes, and chocolate were unknown.
He revealed that He is a kind and loving God. He gave us freedom of choice. He didnt want us to be robots when He created us, so He gave us the ability to choose between Him and sin. In the Garden of Eden, when Eve ate the fruit off of the one tree she wasn't supposed to eat from, God knew that people would choose sin over Him. He loved the world, and He loved His people. He loves you, just as He loved Eve. So, He planned on another way of saving His people. A second chance, if you will. He sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to earth. Jesus taught the people about true love, and completely changed the world. He offers us saving grace and eternal life, all you have to do is close your eyes and tell Him you believe in Him, and that you know that Jesus Christ, His one and only Son, died and rose again. Jesus taught us how merciful and powerful God is. All authority had been given to Jesus, and He demonstrated God's power by healing the sick and raising the dead. He performed miracle after amazing miracle, but wasn't to be mistaken for a circus performer. Everything He did, He did to give glory to His heavenly father.
we should take note that there was a supper prepared by mary where Lazarus was present (John 12) and then the supper with his twelve apostles when they were told by Jesus to prepare the pascha(feast of jews)
Psalm 41 is regarded as being the prophetic Psalm in which Jesus' betrayal is prophesied. The whole of the Psalm deals with this prophecy, but verse 9 is particularly relevant. 'Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me'. At the Last Supper, just prior to His betrayal, John 13:19 has Jesus quote the Psalm and mention it as being prophetic of the imminent betrayal: 'I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.'
