While this is a Bible verse, it certainly doesn't benefit anyone if they have everything and yet loses themselves and their beliefs in the process. We've all heard of rich and successful people committing suicide, so their wealth and success didn't help them. There are plenty of examples of successful people losing or compromising who they are and suffering here on Earth without needing to discuss the afterlife.
This phrase is from The Bible (Mark 8:36) and highlights the idea that material wealth and success are not as important as spiritual well-being. It suggests that true fulfillment comes from a meaningful and virtuous life, rather than just accumulating worldly possessions or status.
The question is from the Apostle Mark, and clearly the point he is trying to make is that it profits the man nothing. Mark, being a deeply religious man, was concerned primarily with the after-life, where the immortal soul is all that matters.
However, there are other ways to look at this. The first was proposed by another user...
'Perhaps he will finally know the value of what he had? ...GP'
I don't know about that, but personally, I take the question at its most basic. When you get right down to it, it profits the man *the whole world*. That's a pretty big profit, if you ask me (or most people, I would imagine).
Now, Mark would argue that the man is only gaining the whole world for a fleeting speck of time compared with the eternity of a lost soul, but that's only really true if you're banking on that after-life.
In any case, I think most people would be pretty happy with gaining the whole world, if only for... say, half a lifetime? Judging by the number of people playing the lottery, it's a safe bet.
The Question is not from marks mouth.. it is from LORD JESUS. What will the main gain If He becomes rich and have all possession but he has no place in the Kingdom of GOD(Heaven).
26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Secularization is the term that relates to the movement of people away from religion towards the influences of the modern world. It refers to the process where religion loses social and cultural influence, and individuals are more influenced by secular values and institutions.

Various organizations, charities, and governments around the world work to help support and assist poor individuals and communities in need. Some of the most famous Jesus quotes are "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." and "What shall profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul."
They don't sing it because they're not real Christians! They sing love songs! "I'm burning up for you Baby?" How is that glorifying God Almighty? It's not! A lot these so called "celebrities" claim to be Christians, but their songs, movies, and actions say otherwise! Too much compromise for the sake of fame and fortune. What does it profit a man that he gains the whole world and loses his soul?
Russia's experience in the World War One was a devastating one since they ended up with many loses other than the gains.
I'm not sure if you are asking a question or looking for the reference to that verse. The reference is Matthew 16:26. The point is that many people seek riches and money and fame, to the extent of ignoring their relationship with God. If the whole world knows them and they are very very rich, what would that matter if they had to spend eternity in hell.
The object of the French profit in the New World was fur. The French hoped to profit on the trade of fur in Europe while the fur was gathered from the colonies in the New World.
Since no business is for charity, profit is a prerequisite for any business. Excepting for NGO and philanthropic organisations, the whole business world is being motivated by the ultimate goal of maximizing profit margin. This propels them to further expansion of business, acquiring or switching over to new business or so on.

Similar to the for profit world, the way to increase profit is to reduce expenses or increase income. Non profit's income tends to come from contributed income, program fees, or grants.
