She was stoned...
In The Bible, the woman caught in adultery was brought before Jesus by a group of Pharisees and scribes who wanted to trap him. Jesus responded by saying, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” When no one condemned her, Jesus told her to go and sin no more.
The woman caught in adultery and brought to Jesus is not explicitly named in the Bible.
Adultery is generally not permitted in the Pentecostal church, as it goes against the church's teachings on the sanctity of marriage and fidelity. Permissible actions may vary depending on individual congregations, but adultery is typically viewed as a sin that goes against biblical principles.
The story of the woman caught in adultery and saved by Jesus is not found in the oldest manuscripts of the Bible. It is believed to have been added to the Gospel of John at a later date. Many scholars view it as a powerful story that captures the essence of Jesus' teachings on forgiveness and mercy, regardless of its originality.
When Peter and the other disciples let down their nets as Jesus directed, they caught a huge number of fish, causing their nets to break. This event showed the disciples the power and authority of Jesus and led Peter to recognize Jesus as Lord, prompting him to leave everything and follow Jesus.
This was said to the woman caught in adultery, John 8: 3-4. In Jewish law adultery was considered punishable by death, but under Roman occupation the Jews were not allowed to execute anyone (hence the necessary trial by pilate when jesus was crucified). This woman, however, was caught in the act of adultery and sentenced, illegally, to be stoned. When Jesus was asked whether or not he agreed that she should be executed (by the Jewish authorities, out to trap him) he declared 'let he who is without sin, cast the first stone'. One by one the lynch mob retreated, realising that they too were sinners. When they had left Jesus asked the woman where those who condemned her had gone. When she saw none left, Jesus stated, "and neither do I condemn you - go and sin no more". In this story it is clear that Jesus did not condone the adultery but expected the woman to turn away from her sin as she had been given another chance. Her repentance was expected, just as we are expected to repent when we do wrong. Note that in Hollywood films (movies to our US friends!) they often identify the adulterous woman as Mary Magdalene but there is no evidence whatsoever that this was the case.

Of course it is. It's the act of doing it not of getting caught.

Well the possibility exists that there could have been 3. First consider the woman brought before Him caught in adultry. Jesus remarked to her acusers "he who is without sin cast the first stone". Jesus was the only one there that could cast that stone and he did not. Jesus went to Simeon's home for a meal on or about the passion week and a harlot washed his feet with an expensive perfume and wipped His feet with her hair. When Judas objected Jesus said leave her alone for she prepares me for my death. We do not know if this was the woman caught in adultry or a different person. Further, the Samaritan woman at the well married 5 times and living with a man she was not married to. So we could equate that this woman also engaged in sinful self serving lusts of the flesh.
Any woman that became interested in any of the Cartwrights either caught a fatal disease or had a fatal accident. Little Joe's wife caught a fatal disease.
In modern times, there isn't really a punishment for adultery, other than getting caught by your spouse and facing the consequences. In the old days, you could be stoned.
She would be discharged instantly. If she was thought to be a Confederate spy, she would be kept in custody and interrogated.
In god's eyes a woman is beautiful because of her purity, spirtuality and her inner beauty. If a woman has never commited adultry, or commited any of the seven deadly sins, and tries to be kind and caring and gentle, she is beautiful
