The official Jesusean title was given to M. Carroll in the early 1990's in reference to her work in the subject of Jesus, and the historic teachings of Jesus. Jesusean refers to the Historic Jesus and his teachings. M. Carroll is refered to as The Jesusean, and she refers to her body of work as Jesusean.
