God-faring and God fearing are two different things but go together. One does not exist without the other. Go-faring is to walk with God, travel with God, as in with a paid fare. That fare is repentance which is a requirement of true faith. It is the action behind the word that makes the faith whole, it is the fruit of true faith. Repentance, the fare, is defined as changing our ways, turning from our sinful nature and indulgences that we once embraced but are now leaving behind. A faith that knows Jesus died on the cross, resurrected Himself and ascended into Heaven, for the atonement of our sins. A faith that honors this incredible act of love by following His ways, which was to live a sinless life. We are not perfect, we will never be sinless, only Jesus was. However, if we pay the fare of repentance with daily intention, Jesus has us covered for our sinful mistakes. Keep in mind, it is one thing to make a mistake and repent, quite another to live in sin which does not resemble repentance, the “fare”.
