It is not really a belief as much as it is an acceptance of facts. Even then, it varies between person and the extent to which they believe a "God" had an impact in the presence of existence. Those who attest that all that is in existence came about through natural processes and that there is no god are referred to as atheists. Those who believe in a god are theists. There are many variations of belief even within theists. Some believe that there was a god that had a hand in creating the universe but that life (and therefore man) came about naturally. Others believe that a god created both the universe and life (including man). The creation of man by a god is called intelligent design. Many theists believe that this is the truth and that "God" determines all that happens.
I know this is not a debate, but if you dont mind, I am going to express my own view (which is likely already apparent). Life is a beautiful and amazing thing. It should be treasured and valued. Though the existence of life, and to a greater extent the universe as a whole, is a magnificent thing, it did not have to all be designed by some all powerful creator. Just because we want fathomable explanation as to how we got here, we have gone off making things up, trying explain what we do not understand. As we become more advanced, it is likely that people will begin to realize that our need to believe in some great being is simply obsolete. The presence of "God" is an awe inspiring thought has done away with the need for facts by introducing the concept of simply having "faith" in the matter. Religion is self perpetuating and flawed.
I apologize for the unnecessary length of this response and my veering of topic, but perhaps I have talked some sense into some people.
I leave you with a quote:
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is not omnipotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then He is malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is He neither able nor willing? Then why call Him God?"
-Epicurus (c. 341 - c. 270 BC)
People who do not believe in any god are called Atheists.
People who don't believe in God are called Atheists. People who are open to the concept of God but arent convinced by the arguments from religious schoclars are called Agnostics.
In different religions and belief systems, the concept of God's origin varies. Some believe God has always existed, while others believe God was created by a higher power. Ultimately, the origin of God is a complex and deeply philosophical question that varies depending on one's faith and beliefs.
Belief in god or gods in general is called theism. Belief in one God and only one God is called monotheism. Belief in many gods is called polytheism.
Christians believe in the existence of angels as spiritual beings created by God to serve Him and carry out His will. Angels are believed to be messengers and protectors, and can be seen as intermediaries between God and humans. Christians also believe that angels play a role in spiritual warfare and are ever present in the lives of believers.
If you believe in God and you believe that God created everything, then sure. If you believe in science, then a black hole is created when a massive star collapses and a black hole is formed. [See related question]
Reform (insert religion name here)
No, because if you believe in God. Then you believe that He was the ONE who created all things. But now if you believe in science whatsoever, then you only believe things that you've either heard or have seen from other people. So to answer your question, science has not killed God. Its just that since people cannot see God, and or feel his presence, it is that, that has seem to what make people believe that God "didn't" create the world.
No one knows exactly because most American Christians believe that God created our universe, but Science describes how God did it. Creationists believe that God used supernatural magic, not Science to create the Earth.
There is no God versus science, they are married at the deepest level. God created everything. Science is just the tool that we use to figure out the method God used to create. The majority of scientists believe in God by the proofs they've seen in creation.
Science does not make any definitive conclusion about God.
Jews believe in One God, who created the universe. He is omnipotent. The words "What Jewish god" (in the question) are inapplicable, since we don't believe in "gods."
People who do not believe in any god are called Atheists.
Science relies on the laws of physics. Faith and religion have no bearing on the laws of physics, unless you believe God created the laws of physics. While you can believe in God and be a scientist, it's hard to believe in the Big Bang theory and Creationism, too. And, modern physics now believes that God had no part in the Big Bang. That said, God and faith can still play a large part in our lives, just not when it comes to science.

This depends entirely on what you believe about God. Most people who believe in God, believe that God created everything. Since being gay is part of nature, and not a choice, then it follows if you believe God created everything, then you must believe God created gay people.
I think Hindus believe that they god created the world.
