The "key of David" found in Revelation 3:7, is from Isaiah's prophecy regarding Jesus Christ; the Trusted One of His Father's household... the Kingdom of God.

"...I will call My servant Eliakim son of Hilkiah to replace you. He will have your royal robes, your title, and your authority. And He will be a father to the people of Jerusalem and Judah. I will give Him the key to the HOUSE of David - THE HIGHEST POSTITION IN THE ROYAL COURT. He will open doors, and no one will be able to shut them; and He will close doors, and no one will be able to open them. He will bring honour to His Family name, for I will drive Him firmly in place like a tent stake. He will be loaded down with Responsibility, and He will bring honour to even the lowliest members of His Family..." (Isa.22:20-24 NLTNew Living Translation)

Of this, Matthew Henry says:

"...Those called to places of Trust and Power, should seek to God for Grace to enable them to do their duty. Eliakim's advancement is described. Our LORD Jesus describes His own Power as Mediator, Rev. iii. 7, that He has the Key of David. His Power in the Kingdom of Heaven, and in ordering all the affairs of that Kingdom, is absolute. Rulers should be fathers to those under their government; and the honour men bring unto their families, by their piety and usefulness, is more to be valued than what they derive from them by their names and titles. The glory of this world gives a man no real worth or excellence; it is but hung upon him, and it will soon drop from him. Eliakim was compared to a nail in a sure place; all his family is said to depend upon him. In eastern houses, rows of large spikes were built up in the walls. Upon these the moveables and utensils were hung. Our LORD Jesus is as a nail in a sure place. That soul cannot perish, nor that concern fall to the ground, which is by Faith hung upon Christ. He will set before the believer an open door, which no man can shut, and bring both body and soul to Eternal Glory. But those who neglect so Great Salvation will find, that when He shutteth none can open, whether it be shutting out from heaven, or shutting up in hell for ever." (Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary: ISAIAH 22:15-25)

What do Solomon and Rehoboam and Jeroboam have in common?

Solomon, Rehoboam, and Jeroboam were all kings in ancient Israel. Solomon was known for his wisdom and wealth, Rehoboam was Solomon's son who ruled after him and led to the split of the kingdom, and Jeroboam was the first king of the northern kingdom of Israel after the split. They were all key figures in the history of Israel.

Was king Solomon a moor?

No. If Solomon was a real, historical person, he would have been a Hebrew, or Israelite. On the face of it, that would appear to make Solomon a Jew, but as monotheistic Judaism only began some centuries later during the reign of King Josiah, Solomon could best be described as a pagan. Islam began one and a half thousand years after the time of King Solomon.

Where is the real key of Solomon?

There isn't one. The "key of Solomon" has always been symbolic, regardless of its context. The earliest mention of this key are the "clavicles of Solomon" 16-17th century grimmoires (the lemegeton and goetia and I believe there is a third..) that taught how to summon angels and demons to one's bidding, supposedly based off the hidden teachings of King Solomon from the bible. The most prominent use of the term "key of Solomon" refers to free masonry. Since the masons teach ethical and moral ideas through the myth of Hiram Abif (the architect supposedly responsible for the construction of the temple of King Solomon), the key of Solomon is the understanding that masonry gives to its practitioners about the universe and god.

Who was Israel's greatest king?

A:The biblical answer would be David, who created a great empire, or perhaps Solomon. However, historians now believe that the was no United Monarchy as described in the Bible, and that Saul, David and Solomon were more likely just local chieftains whose statures grew with the telling of legends surrounding them. The greatest king of Israel would have been either Omri or his son Ahab, although later biblical tradition seeks to tarnish their reputations. Answer:Solomon was the greatest King of Israel! 2 Samuel 2 explains the change from King David to King Solomon. Solomon became King over Israel in the year 971 B.C. Although Solomon was young, he soon became known for his wisdom -- and he was loved by the people of Israel. Solomon got his wisdom from God; God told him he could ask for one thing and Solomon asked for a discerning heart to guide and judge between right and wrong for the people. The LORD was pleased with Solomon so he gave him a wise and discerning heart, He also gave him both riches and honor -- there was no equal King during the time of Solomon. There had never been anyone like King Solomon, and never will be. Solomon built The Holy Temple for the LORD; it took him seven years to complete. Solomon is portrayed as a man full of great in wisdom, wealth, and power, but ultimately as a king whose sin, including idolatry and turning away from God, lead to the kingdom of Israel being torn in two during the reign of his son Rehoboam-- causing the Divided Kingdom. King Solomon, son of King David, was known for his wisdom, obedience, leadership abilities, his power, his wealth, and his writings.Answer:King David is said to be the greatest of Israel's Kings as Jesus is to inherit the 'Throne of David' and the 'Key of David' is vital to prophecy.Answer:According to the Bible, David was the greatest king of Israel.According to many archaeologists and scholars, many of the achievements traditionally attributed to David should rightfully be credited to King Omri of Israel. It is likely that Omri was really the greatest king of Israel.
