You always hear the term "shield and buckler". I was told that a buckler protected the tricep while the shield protected the front, side or whichever direction it was placed.

What does buckler mean in Psalm 182 of the Bible?

Although there are only 150 Psalms, in context it most likely refers to a small shield strapped to the left arm (enabling that hand to be used while affording some more serious protection to that side).

What is a first hand relic?

What do the epistles call the church?

The church is uniquely identified with Jesus Christ, so much so that the epistles call the church "the body of Christ."The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV)Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV)

Is there a Bible verse that talks about you are the body of Christ?

Two come to mind, off hand :1 Corinthians 12:12 and Romans 12:4Another perspective:Yes, but there's a wrinkle to the teaching that should be understood. This is never said of a lone individual; the New Testament teaches that the church is the "body of Christ:" Ephesians 1:22, 23 - And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.And it likens individual members to parts of the body, each with its own function and purpose, united in common goals and interest.1 Corinthians 12:12-14 - For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many.Romans 12:4, 5 - For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. It's in this "collective" regard, as one of "many members," that Paul writes:Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (1 Cor. 12:27)[Quotes from NKJV]..
